Bag check at entry

If you are staying on property and are not planning on entering the park until 10 minutes after rope drop or later, I would highly recommend using the Grand Californian entrance- if you have hoppers, I would even do it if you are going to DL. We were there last week and the lines to get through bag check and the metal detectors at around 8:30 am were ridiculously long both at the gates and monorail. We turned around from the entrance and went back through GC and only had one family ahead of us. We did the GC entrance every morning we were there (but just after rope drop)and never waited more than about 2 minutes. We wound up arriving a day early and staying that night at the Fairfield Inn as DLH was full that night, and entering on that side of the park at around 11:00 am took us almost 20 minutes.

Wait.....you cant bring in things that light up?? Wonder if it was because it was a ball? Hope this is not the case as I was planning to bring in small light up toys for my kiddos...similar to the ones they sell inside. :worried:
We took tubes of Glow Sticks (bracelet/necklaces) from Michaels in a few weeks ago and nobody said anything about them or even paid extra attention to them. They were clearly labeled and marked.
