Bag check at entrance?

Are they still checking bags at the entrances of the parks. Do they sell the things for you to put your room key and pass in that you wear around your neck like at work with your id badge? I don't want to carry a handbag or a camera bag everyday.

I think they only check backpacks, not a small purse.

They are still checking bags.

They are checking all bags. Twice I even asked to remove my fanny pack from my waist to be checked. This was last week.

They check hip packs/fanny packs as well.

One of these days I am going to make DH wear one instead so I can go through the OTHER line!

Yep, they check everything including kids' waist packs. Talk about a smack of reality to a five year old when she was told to take off her waist pack and open it up!

For your ID and ticket, I'd recommend one of those waterproof hardsided containers. Then you don't have to worry about any of the many chances you get wet at Disney World.
