Just wanted to post while shopping at Walmart last night for something in the stationery department, I noticed badge holders and the attachments with the pull-string that you could buy for your room key for FOTL ease. I purchased the same thing in the wallet department, but thought if you couldn't find them, you could buy the badge holder and clip it to the "thing" you attach to yourself and have the "pullstring" to just pull up to show your room key for easy Express access. Does this make sense?? :confused3 Sorry if i confused anyone...just trying to be helpful! :wave2:

Welcome.....I always see them in Office Max or Staples, but they are like by the gross...don't need that many :rotfl: . These were a set of 3 for about $2. ...same with the card holders...very inexpensive i thought (so were the ones i bought in the wallet/purse department, but they are hard to come by as i was watching for them for awhile :rolleyes1 )

We bought cool HRH lanyards and had the gift shop punch a hole in our keys.

Where did you get the HRH lanyard? Just wondering, if there's anywhere besides maybe their gift shop to get them. I'm making my DS a surprise basket for the trip, & I'd love to get one ahead of time to put in there. Thanks :)

My daughter got a wallet type thing with a window for her card key and the string to go around her neck. It broke before we made it to the park so be careful what you get. My favorite is the ones we got with express passes 3 years ago at HHN.

Are you talking about these?

at the gift shop in the RPR for $4.95 each. They also had these throughout the parks for sale. They were blue with a window in front, so the room key was visible. We kept our tickets, and a little spending money in them also.

I had bought a couple of the ones mentioned on here from Wal Mart, but we never used them. I liked these so much better. I was a little afraid of losing the Wal Mart lanyards, since they had velcro at the back of the neck. The wallet lanyards had a snap.

I like those better also. The 99 cent walmart ones can just hold the room key and a ticket. The wallet lanyards they sell at the park have room for credit cards and spending money also. I also like the little zippered pocket for carrying change.

I use those instead of a fanny pack. You can slip them underneath your shirt also so you don't have to put things in a locker. Sometimes I put it in a pocket and loop the string part in through a belt loop. That way if it fell out, it would still be attached to my jeans and I wouldn't lose it.

i tied it in case the velcro came apart. and yes WILLCAD, those are the ones I saw at walmart....but they weren't $.99....more like $2.

One of the best things we had for our trip was the ID badge holders on the pull-cord! DS had one around his neck (clear one) and it was awesome! He just held it up at the Express entrances and I could make sure he had it all times cuz it was around his neck! I did take it off of him and attach it to ME when we rode Hulk & DD.....to be safe he didn't lose it! :thumbsup2 Even DH told me what a great idea it was...so handy!

You got ripped. Those lanyards are $.97 at every WalMart in the Baltimore area.

We had Walmart lanyards with plastic card holders when we went last week. The only hassle was the times they needed to actually scan the card at the Express Pass entrance, so we had to take them out of the holders. This happened maybe half a dozen times in our three days. The irony is that on our checkout day, when the worker would scan the pass, the screen would flash red with "Invalid Pass", and the worker just overrode it. Not sure why they have the system do that, but as long as they let us in, we didn't care. My kids kept calling the passes the BEST ROOM KEY EVER!!! :)

I did check...they were only about $1.00 each (dunno why i was thinking $2?) Anyway, the only time in our 5 days there they scanned our key was on the Cat in the Hat ride...and, that was only 3 different times. I'm not sure why they scanned it sometimes and most of the other times we were there, they didn't?? :confused3

I'm trying to remember -- ours were scanned on Mummy I think twice out of the six or seven times we rode it; Dr. Doom once out of 5 or 6, Cat in the Hat twice, and a few others I can't remember. Probably about 10% of the time.

My wife and I both word lanyards around our necks during our stay at RPR recently. I had my room key and one of my kids and they were back-to-back in the clear badge holder. My wife had hers and my youngest son in hers. When we went to the express lines, all we had to do was hold it up and turn it around to show that between us, we had room keys for all of us. Not once were we asked to remove our room keys to be inserted in a machine or to be further scrutinized by any cast member. Worked like a charm. As for our tickets, I just carried them in a ziploc bag in my camera case and all was well.
