I just checked out the weather for next week and its supposed to rain Tues and Wed while whe are in St. Martin and St. Thomas.
Does anyone know, when they say rain is it like Florida where it rains for just a short while and then the clouds move over to make way for the sun? Or when it shows just clouds and rain in the weather picture that means that day is doomed for fun in the sun?

I don't have a precise answer to your question, but I've been concerned about the same thing. I can tell you this: a cold front moved through Florida yesterday, and it rained the entire day here in Tampa. Today is beautiful. If the same cold front is moving through the Carribbean, then there could be a day that gets washed out. (P.S. - by "cold" front, I mean it dropped the high temperature from 87 to 82).

I have been tracking the weather forecasts for a couple of days, and it seems that they change every day. I'm not going to get too worried until Friday, but even then it can change by the time we get there. The only consistent thing is that there's a rain forecast for at least one day during the trip. The forecasters seem to be changing when that day is.

I also posted another question a couple of days ago about avoiding rain, and some of the responses indicated that the ship will try to avoid rain while at sea. They will only change a port, however, if the weather is so bad they can't dock.

Bottom line is expect some kind of rain. Hopefully it will be "Florida" rain and will be gone shortly. If not, there's plenty to do inside, right?
