I am going to Typhoon Lagoon and was wondering if a thunderstorm started while I was there would they make you completely leave the water park or just ask you to stay out of the water and let you stay there until it clears up?

This happened to us a long time ago (1991) so policies may have changed since then. A thunderstorm started while we were in Typhoon Lagoon. They cleared the water and told everyone to stay under cover until it was over. We stood in the gift shop for a while and then decided to head back to the hotel since it didn't seem to be letting up. I also recall that we had a thunderstorm at MK and they closed some of the outdoor attractions including Big Thunder Mountain.

I really don't know the policy.

In 2007 while at BB a T-Storm came up...about 6pm...the radar showed more rain coming so they closed it down shortly after they cleared the water since it was so close to closing time anyway.

I would say it just depends on the time?

When we were there, they had everyone get out of the water and seek shelter. The storm passed quickly, but most people left. Then there were no lines for the rest of the day! Yay! :thumbsup2
