Bad Thunderstorms

Do you cower under the bedclothes (depending on the time of day of course ) until it's over or do you actually enjoy watching/listening to them?

We had a really bad storm that lasted for ages in the middle of last night. I was fine when it was in the distance but was a nervous wreck when it was overhead!

It must of been a bad one as it even woke my DH and he sleeps through any kind of noise! I'm soooo tired today, my eyes don't want to stay open!

I used to love thunderstorms...til 2 months ago when the house behind us got struck by lightning, then 2 weeks after that another house got struck. Then there have been tornado warnings every other weekend (we're not in a tornado alley either). And, with my DD, now I overreact and worry about them. When it was just me, I used to sleep or watch them...not anymore.

Our power went off for a while. I can't imagine what it would be like if lightening struck the house, apart from being extremely frightening!

No tornadoes (touch wood) where we live, thank goodness!

I hate thunderstorms, I absolutely freak when they are at night. I too stay up all night until they are over. My house was destroyed in Hurricane Andrew and ever since then I have major anxiety about storms. I also worry about my two young DD's, I honestly wish I could ignore them and sleep through them like my DH does.

I love thunderstorms. Sometimes I will pull my car out of the garage onto the drive way so that I can watch the lightening without worry

I also love thunderstorms. Here in the "lightning capitol" we get quite a few. I used to sit in my apartment and watch them over the cow pasture. It was always amusing to watch the cows go running when the downpours began..LOL...but I love thunderstorms
