Bad show disney!!!

What sense does it make to run the train through there, and make the guests sit at the station while the train takes on water?
in the interest of preserving the "show" of Disney, why not make the train "start" at main street and then disembark all of the passengers before the Toontown station? This is just really, really really bad show!
There really IS no Disney Difference anymore, is there?

Why run a train only part way around the track? Or run it empty 2/3 of the way? The 'sense' to run it all the way round is because people want to get from the back of the park to the front, without having to walk.

Don't forget that the trains are on a track, and it's nigh impossible to change the way the tracks are laid at this point.

Heck they could move them but it would be 'bad show' seeing all the construction building the new track so you don't have to see the construction.

Just watched the video - "demolitioning" is my new favorite word!

Thanks for posting the video. I thought it was fascinating.

Having the construction partially visible does not bother me. While I understand it may shatter the suspension of disbelief, it also gives a sneak peek to what is to come.

Even posters could not completely hide the construction...and the noise of the construction would be inescapable...it is what it is.

The (former) Toontown stop is where the train takes on water. It needs water to run. I don't believe either of the other two stations have water for the train. It's either stop there, or stop running the train at all.

I remember ToT being built. And Everest. And Splash. Even Norway.

I'm pretty sure I saw construction workers and raw steel for each one.

Bad show Disney. Bad bad show.

I don't mind seeing a little construction. And since I was never a fan of Toontown, it wouldn't bother me to see any of the demolition either. My daughter, though, would probably cry if she got a peek at any of it.

Call me weird but I actually was trying to see what they do. I would be excited to ride this train during constractions.

I like getting to see what's going on when something new is being built!:thumbsup2

About the train...let me see if anyone else remembers this...if I remember correctly when Splash Mt was being built the train went forward then to come back to the Main Street station it went backwards.

Does anybody else remember that?

They couldn't find a garden hose long enough to fill it else where.

I saw them bulldozing Residential Street from the Backlot Tour, I'm pretty sure people saw them bulldoze the Horizons building, I'm pretty sure we saw them bulldoze the old TL skyway station, and so it goes. I think I could go on all day. Oh and at DCA look at all that bulldozing and construction work they are doing, BAD SHOW!!! Really? Get a life and stop complaining about things as minute as construction work. It has to happen at some point. But I guess if it's such bad show they should close down the whole park when there's any little bit of it going on so guests can't be exposed to the bad show. Gosh DCA should of been closed for year now! I can't believe they let you see their whole lagoon DRAINED!!! BAD SHOW!!!!

Really, get your panties out of a wad.

wow, that is a bit harsh! :sad1:
refurbs on the West coast tend to have solid themed walls- which go up before the heavy equipment rolls in, or they schedule overlapping refurbs to minimize the impact. (like the refurbing the monorail and subs at the same time or currently- refurbing all of Critter Country at once)
I am not suggesting one train going back and forth between the two stations. Have the train run from Main Street to Fronteirland (sorry, I didn't know you guys didn't have 4 stops.) and run the rest of the loop empty.

I agree the expanse of green is annoying. I'd much rather see what they are doing :)

I'm a little conflicted about it. On one hand, I want to see/know what's going on. On the other hand, I'd like it to be hidden from kids.

Your initial post seemed pretty harsh, as well. Many of us, myself included, don't feel that it is, as you put it initially, a "really, really really bad show!" And I disagree that "There really IS no Disney Difference anymore, is there?".
