Bad news.

We found out yesterday that MIL has cancer,obviously she has had it for sometime without knowing.
She's in hospital at the moment but they have said there's nothing they can do.They have given her anything from a few day's to a couple of month's.

There's no icons to express how we are feeling .



We are taking it one day at a time at the moment as hubby deson't want to cancel our holiday in a couple of weeks just yet.Has anyone had any experiance of having to cancel? will we be able to just put it on hold instead of canceling it?

I can't really help you with any adivce about cancelling your holiday, we have in the past postponed one of our holiday's. This did incure a admin cost, sorry I cant remember how much it was. Also just wanted to say that I am so sorry to hear your news and send you loads of :grouphug:to you and your family.

So sorry to here this :( Why not contact your travel complany and see what they can offer you.

I'm so sorry to hear that your family is going through such a difficult time :(

I'm sure your travel company / insurance company will do all they can under the circumstances, but maybe you shouldn't rush into any decisions just yet. Take a little time to adjust to the news about your MIL before making any decisions. Give your TA a call and explain your current predicamant and they should be able to tell you what your options are.

I'm sure the last thing you want to be worrying about at the moment is your holiday plan, but a phone call or two may give you some peace of mind about any action you can take, should you decide that's what you want to do.

I can only repeat what the others have said. I would call your TA or Holiday Company just to clarify the situation...you WILL be covered if you need to cancel.

I hope your MIL isn't in too much pain and that she doesn't suffer too much.

You and your family will be in my thoughts.
