Hey everyone I'm new here snd I know the title sounds out of place for this forum but it's not I swear:scared I just called disney today to book CSR for april 19-25 with the deluxe dining plan and much to my horror csr is NOT on the dining plan (either one) and now after a year of research I need to pick a new hotel Does anyone have any suggestions? We have previously stayed at ASM, AS, POFQ, WL and POLY we were looking for something different for the kids DS7 and DD5 thanks so much any help would be great

Maybe POR or POP or Beach Club? Just some ideas! Hope this helps! I have the BC booked for next Thanksgiving for the great pool-SAB with the sand bottom and the lazy river. I would think the weather in April would be great for swimming and hanging by the pool! JMHO

Maybe try CBR - will the pool be open by then?
That really sucks - how can they not have one of the resorts on the dining plan! People always need to eat at the resort, and if it isn't covered that is just stupid!
Maybe try Pop - it looks like lots of fun for kids!
If a deluxe is in the budget - maybe Animal Kingdom? The kids would love the animals!

Were you planning only to eat at CSR as I thought it didnt matter which resort you booked for the Plan,or I may be mistaken ,hope you can clarify Thanks

I think you need to call back again as this doesn't make any sense to me. The Disney Dining Plan is available to all guests staying on property with the exception of the Swan/Dolphin as they really aren't Disney resorts. The DDP has never been resort specific, just that you need to be at a Disney Resort. If you are trying to book free dining then perhaps the free dining packages are sold out at CSR but if you're paying - I would call back and try again - it is worth another call if you have your heart set on CSR. You may want to post this on the Dining Board as they have experts about dining plan eligibility there. Good Luck.

I believe that Pepper Market and Maya Grill at CSR are owned by an outside company, not by Disney. Some of the non-Disney restaurants don't take the dining plan. Or, it may just be that the CSR restaurants are still negotiating their 2008 deal with Disney, and will show up on the DDP list later.

There was some discussion about this issue earlier this week on Buzz's *NEW* Coronado Springs FAQ Thread, so check there. I think it's still up in the air whether the CSR restaurants will be on the dining plan. Anyway, that's the best place to watch for info about this. My family loves CSR, by the way!

I agree w/you - from what I remember this happened last year as well and in the end PM and Maya Grill were included in the dining plan.

The final list won't be out until late November, As of last week, the company that runs the MG and PM are still in negotiations with WDW on the DDP. Nothing is in stone.

My advice would be stay at CSR resort anyway. When we stayed there we didn't like Pepper Market at all -- and we use our TS credits at a variety of restaurants. So, you can still stay at CSR and just eat elsewhere. Who cares if the CSR restaurants are on the dining plan? Just stop at the store and get cereal, milk and muffins for your room. Then, you're free to use all of your dining credits elsewhere.

As buzz stated final decisions will be out the end of November... If you are really set at staying at this hotel you can book another & change it (hoping they have rooms available)... My other choices would be POR & CBR! The POFQ is nice but I much prefer POR...
