Seaworld today.
We all met up at 9am at the entrance and then went straight through to Manta. Wow! What a fabulous coaster. As close as Ill ever get to flying like a bird.
We also rode Kraken and waited for the front row. There was hardly any queue anyway, and it was worth it. Another great ride. Plus Daniel was tall enough to ride this one with us, which was good as he had had to miss out on Manta.
Gary, Nat and the children went on Journey to Atlantis, the rest of us sat this out as we didnt want to get wet!
There are lots of photo oportunities in Seaworld:
Ellie and Shamu:
Joh, Me, Nat and Ellie:
Joh and Gary:
All of us:
We stopped for coffee and cake mid-morning. I love the carrot cake at Seaworld.
Then went and watched the new one Ocean Shamu show, which replaced Believe. We miss the trainer interaction as they now barely even touch the animals, but theyve done a good job with this substitute show; it seemed faster paced and I personally dont miss the over-sentimentality of Believe.
We also watched the Clyde and Seamore Show, which is one of our favourites, not least because of the mime artist who entertains before the show begins.
Here he is insisting on wheeling this lady to her seat. He makes her comfortable and then holds his hand out for payment!
What I love about the mime is that half the audience are watching him knowing he will be getting up to mischief, while the other half are wondering why everyone else is laughing.
We did most of the other attractions in the park including Wild Arctic, Penguin encounter and the dolphins.
Feeling a bit peckish, Tony bought a giant turkey leg and I had a potato spiral on a stick.
The others decided to go back to their resort and have some pool/quiet time while Tony and I stayed on for a while and looked at a few exhibits and then decided to do a bit if shopping.
We bought a few things in Walmart and then called in at Joanns (more scrapbooking stuff for me as they had given me a 50% off voucher when I was in there the other day, so may as well use it!). While I was in Joanns, Tony went into Marshalls and bought a few shirts.
We met up with the others at T-Rex for dinner.
I had mushroom ravioli which was creamy and delicious. Tony had shrimp pasta which was nice but would have been better if the shrimp had been plain and not breaded, he thought. The others mostly had a combination of chicken, ribs, waffle fries and mash, and everyone enjoyed it.
Joh and Nat both had a cotton-tini.
We had dessert at Ghirardellis. Ice-creams for everyone, except me I had a hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows.
Matthew, waiting patiently while I take a photo before starting his ice-cream.
Daniel and the Mickey pumpkin.
We had a wander around World of Disney afterwards and bought a lovely picture of 5 beach pails with the Disney park icons on for our bedroom, plus a few more prizes for the Dis quiz.
We also popped into the Ghirardelli shop to see if they were stocking peppermint bark yet and were told it should be in soon, so well go back at the end of our holiday. That was the plan anyway, except Tony and I forgot to go back so didnt get any! Luckily Joh and Gary remembered to get theirs.
Tomorrow: Epcot, Smokey Bones, and lost park tickets.
