Bad Kitten!!! Anyone have a very mischievous cat? Ours has gone too far!

Mine aren't trouble, but mischievous is definitely a good word for them. With 6, there's bound to be something going on all the time. :)

Gabi loves jalapenos. Yes, those hot peppers. If DH brings one home and doesn't put it in a very safe place, she'll hunt out the bag, take the bag and the pepper off the counter, fiddle with it until she's got the pepper out, then drag that pepper all over the house. We're surprised she hasn't burned herself yet. She also likes to knock things off counters and tables just to see what noise they make -- especially coins.

Bagheera eats. Anything. If it's food, he'll eat it. If it's not food, he'll sometimes eat it. If it's food and he doesn't eat it, you'd better think twice about eating it because it might be bad. We joke that Bagheera has a black hole (he's a black cat) from his tummy to his brother's tummy. Figaro, his brother, is my mom's cat, and he's overweight but barely eats. Bagheera eats all the time, but is a normal weight. :confused3

Leo cleans sinks. You turn the water on, he'll start digging in the sink as often as he drinks from it. He also drinks with his paw, and insists on drinking "mommy-kissed" water (water from my glass). Drinking my own water can be a challenge sometimes. :rotfl2:

Skye insists on fresh water only. But he's very particular about his water, like his mom (me). :rolleyes1 He'll also tear things up if they even resemble a toy.

Sienna and Ana don't really get into much mischief, they're just cute.

Jalapenos? LOL I've never heard of a cat liking them!

Funny how different cats are. And some people don't like cats because cats are so ______ (fill in the blank). Seems that they are all so different, which is good and bad. :)

Our kittens (and to a lesser degree our cats) like the running tap water, so we got them one of the water fountains for cats. They do like it a lot. It was expensive, but so was the water that I was wasting since I kept forgetting to turn the sink water off.

Belle has been acting strange with the water in our stainless steel water dish. It's a big water dish that we have for the dogs and cats and I don't know if she's playing with her reflection or what, but she sure makes a mess. Funny to watch.

The ONLY water Trouble will drink is "Mommy Kissed." I actually keep my water cup filled and leave it out for her. Trouble is the first cat I have ever had. I thought that a cat would be easy after bunnies, but sometimes I am completely at a loss!

Like...why, now, after a year, is she suddenly using the scratching post and not the stairs? :confused3

I love my cat Foxy but she's a furry little *****. She had her daddy all to herself for too long and she's not thrilled with the new woman in the house. One second she'll be cuddling up to you and the next second you're looking for a bandaid or gauze. She's too adorable so I just can't stay angry at her.

At least she's not one of those angry peeing cats though. I had one of those growing up and we were constantly replacing furniture!

Kittens are supposed to be bad. It's part of the contract and what makes them kitties instead of puppies. :ccat:

Your Foxy reminds me of a former cat I had. Symba pre-dated DH. And when he and I moved in together, Symba was none too happy about the additional human in the bed. So she used to burrow under the covers between us. Even if we were snuggling, she would worm her way in between us! Silly cat!!!

Our current cat (Minnie) chases her tail. All the time. Even on top of her kitty condo, so that she falls off!

Aren't cats fun?!?!

I have 3 cats. I guess I am fairly lucky. the only thing I can complain about is two of them often throwing up because they gorge themselves and their tummys can't handle all that food. Plus the two black ones constantly fighting but when one of us yells they both run off.

But all three are very loving, cuddly, always looking to be pet, kissed and hugged. They are a constant loyal companion.

The youngest actually waits at the door for us when we go out and greets us. :teeth:

:thumbsup2 I really do, except for when she is hungry, she will jump on the bed real fast and wake you up. :rotfl: You than are awake and MUST feed her. She is much better than my Tonto, who has passed over, :guilty: he would Bite you on the Top of your head to get your attention...my DD has the scars that prove it! :rotfl:

DH raised our kitties, Rosalind and Beatrice, from when they were kittens. We got married when "the babies" were 7 years old, and they were completely undiciplined, but terribly affectionate and social. According to DH, they weren't supposed to be on the tables or counters, weren't supposed to claw at the furniture, and were only supposed to eat kitty food. I quickly caught on that this wasn't the case when I saw DH's recliner - with one side of it completely shredded down to the frame!

I was home during the day for the first 4 months of our marriage, so the girls got a wake up call - mommy is going to enforce the rules! Of course, they also caught on that mommy home during the day = lots of extra snuggles and brushing. They only use the scratching posts now, but they will still jump up on counters and tables if they think we aren't looking, and they are TERRIBLE about eating things that are not food! Rosalind is the worst - she licks and chews on photgraphs (likes the coating), munches on tape, plastic bags, and any thin plastic wrapper, and will eat every string, ribbon, rubberband, etc. that she can get her paws on. We've taken her into the vet a few times because she's made herself sick with all the stuff she's not supposed to eat. The vet even told us to give her pepcid AC when she throws up twice in a row, and to only bring Rosalind in when the pepcid doesn't work. Our cat has her own Pepcid box!

Both cats eat any plant that comes in the house, so even if DH brings me flowers, we have to put them up on top of the fridge or a high bookcase to admire from afar. And we do occasionally find a stinky "present" left on the bed or carpet when we've been gone for several days.

Beatrice has claimed the bathroom as her own personal playground, and she seems to especially like it in the wee hours of the morning. That's when she does her best to get in there and rattle the mini blinds (she's bent several of them beyond repair), shred the toilet paper, shred the shower curtain, etc.

Still, the rewards of a purring fur-baby snuggled up in my arms more than makes up for all of the trouble they put us through. And I have hundreds more funny and sweet stories than I do trouble stories from each of my kitties.

I must just be lucky...BeBe and Moozer are brother and sister from the same litter and are almost 14 years old..They are so nice to me and I think they are the best 2 cats in the world..

My DH on the other hand, thinks Moozer the girl is EVIL and tries to WIN her over everyday. She will hiss and meow at him every chance she gets...and DEMANDS her treats...but it works... :lmao: She gets her way.

I keep telling DH that they were here before him and may outlast him if he does not treat them right...I also tell them in front of DH, that their NEXT Daddy will be nicer...

I love to tease my HUSBAND..He actually told me once that he thought he was #2 in my life behind the cats...Kidding of course. He then told me that one of the things he loved about me when we met was the way I treated my cats as beings with feelings. He said if I was that nice to cats that he thought I would be very nice person to be with...

True, but these kittens are so much worse than the other kittens we've had. Devils in disguise... :teeth: They are a brother/sister pair and I'm wondering if their is something in their genetic makeup. ;) Our older cats are also a brother/sister pair and in their almost 6 years haven't gotten into nearly the trouble that the kittens have in the 6 months that we've had them. Really, I think the kittens are too smart for their own good and are always looking for fun.

It's hard to feel sorry for you when she is so cute!!! Is she a dilute calico? I have a dilute torbie, she is an angel but she likes to lay on my laptop keys. I am on my 3rd laptop. :)

I think you should post some more pictures of her--I've only seen the one in your sig & she is obviously very photogenic.

My kitties like to run around the house at 3am, get on my chest and meow in my face until I wake up at all hours of the night, climb the curtains, scratch up all my furniture, get up on the counters when I'm not home or the middle of the night, bite when they are tired of being petted, I could go on and on. Yet I still love them dearly

Here' are the 2 kittens together:

Not a very good picture the way the sun was shining in, not to mention my terrible skills as a photographer. :) The vet calls Venus a dilute tortie, but I thought she was a dilute calico since her colors are more in splotches, unlike Belle's color, which is a Torbie (I had to really think about the whole totie/torbie thing :rotfl: )

Here is Tigger and Belle when they were teeny kittens.

Thanks Tammi! I love your photos and need to do something like that sometime. We used to have a gray/white kitty who looked a lot like the one in your upper left picture, but with real short hair.

You may not think this is a good picture, but I can totally see the mischeviousness in their little eyes!!

Very cute kitties.
