I was in the "Pirates" game today. And with the new "Yeti" stuff you know how long you have to wait for level 3. Well, this player "IDarthDonald" got the level 3 game started. Then he would not start the game..everyone said "plz start" and he said "no" and "don't even think about calling staff u cannot have me booted". Then when we asked "why" he would not start the game he said, I can't remember how he put it in VMK talk, but, it was I just want to burn your time. How rude is that!? :confused3 So, just a warning about playing with this player "he" is just not nice. I finally got the :thumbsup2 to start a level 3 game and everyone switched to my game then we crashed! It was a frustrating time. :badpc: :tink:

I had a kid doing that in Haunted Mansion the other day. I had entered the lobby to go into the mansion, and he would not move out of the doorway so you could click on the exit round. He put up a window and just stood there waiting for someone to be forced to join his game. I asked him politely a couple of times to move, and he even took down the window and put it back up to let me know he wasn't moving. Of course I just teleported to another lobby. :teeth:
The things they think of....

I was there too!
He was telling people that he just ate, and that he couldn't go into the water for an hour after eating.

I suspect this a growing trend. During the Monster Maze, there were a number of guests who would block the teleporters "just because". Drove the leaders nuts trying to clear the log jams this behavior caused and, of course, the more guests complained and leaders ordered them to move, the more determined they were to stay there. Best thing is to go to a different instance of the room, when this is possible.

what i hate is when you wait that long for a mansion game and then you get playing and a player exits, leaving no one but you in to play and the game ends. that happened 3 x's to my DS today.

LOL i was there a well and decided not to join so that i could get a game of my own good thing i did i guess when i came out you all wre still there.

You all know I'm an adult. I love this game, I would say I'm addicted. But, you know fair is fair and I'm thinking I was wrong not to challenge this character, and report him. My fear there is that I'd be banned. But, it still does not make this behavior right. Should I have reported "him"? What would you have done? Teaching our kids that this behavior is okay is just wrong. And is it wrong to teach them that ignoring it, makes it right? I'm so torn here, please help me. :confused3 :tink:

For the mansion game, if you can;
Start the game yourself
Make sure at least 3 people are on each team so there is a chance that you will have an opponent by the end!

I hate it when peoplr do this!! I had this happen to me yesterday too. I forget the persons name but I as in POTCL and 8 ppl were in the game waiting for him to start but he wouldn't. And then after like 2 minutes he just botted everyone and started the game with himself. I think one person got in the game with him thought so ha.

I've been on the giving and receiving end of that.

Most of the time, we disconnect or crash Explorer. At least I do!
The other tiny percentage of the time I do believe the player will leave
if they're losing a round.

But I give most people the benefit of the doubt that they crashed.

Agreed briarlori. What is happening at the docks is a little different. There Are many reasons people are acting bad down there, some of it is life and some of it I thought I would never see in VMK. Three things are at issue people that like and play pirates all the time still are mad about the influx of people there for ice only and that they can't get games and are getting booted because people need ice NOW they boot all blue players. Second we are seeing some uglyness between people on different teams many previously were at least courtious and many are or were friends. Some people are trying to hurt other teams some, people are just trying to play with there teams so they all get ice. It would be nice if enough games are there for all. Fireworks is also getting out of reach for many players to get ice because many good players. Last I would say that now people are getting upset about repeatedly being booted and starting to act out as well.

And 1 note to make the matter worse they are ollowing more level 1 and 2 games available while limitting level three - try it out you can almost always start 1 or 2 not 3 so VMK made the matter worse by doing this.

I just want to say this is a game - It is supposed to be fun. I can play a decent game of pirates or fireworks or Haunted Mansion. I enjoy VMK very much and thought trying something different would be fun but people are getting a little carried away. After this is over people may wish they had acted better. Even though this is vitual people do remember and people do have feelings. Lets all try to remain courtious and civil about this. Yes I am at Pirates to get Ice and credit Yes I have booted some and been booted plenty. I prefer a game that is good, but right now it takes less time to get through an easy game. There is limited time and we all just need to play together nice Try to be respectful and have fun. Lets not do things we might later regret. Remember the golden Rule is not an eye for an eye it is do unto others. Thats my rant, my explaination, and my sermon. Leave something in the plate on the way out. TY

I was one of the few trying to get into this game and yes it irked me to no extent. As people were getting booted they just joined back in, until eventually the shenanigans came to an end.

I think the greed is starting to show around this everest event when it comes to ices cubes. Personally I think cubes will add to the effect, but I think a great ride can be built without cubes so whats all the fuss. I mean how many rivers run on top of crates, yet we did it and the rides were a success. If you don't get cubes, don't worry, I highly doubt that if you don't have any for your ride, you room will be judged poorly by VMK. For the most part there needs to be some fair judging in understanding there are children who play this game as well, and the last time I checked I don't think an eight year old cares how many cubes they have, as long as they are having fun doing what they do. If we all followed that model I think things would be a little better.

I just think these events bring out the worst in people and VMK needs to recognize that. Minimize the competition aspects of it and focus on the fun and challeging parts of it that all can partake in without having to worry about outdoing your friends and making it such a competition. The Yeti Quest is a perfect example. No need to compete....just have to think. Simple enough.

I have to agree with all the above posts. This competition is both fun to be part of a team and bad because it is adding a lot more unnessessary pressure for those who are not good at games. I for one have enjoyed getting to know my team and have had no pressure to get ice. But being part of a team I want to do the best for the team. I see members of my team gettting 65 and 50 ice cubes in two days. It gets a little discouraging that I have so liitle. But I worked harder then ever to get them. Fortunately I am a little above average so 1 out of every 3 or 4 games I have made it to the top 5 in fireworks and when I get there I know I can get one ice cube. But it has taken the fun out of the games. However, on the other hand with out the ice I would never have eraned my fireworks pin. (postive note) I think the ice should be available for purchase or won. So if you are good at a game that does not give ice you can buy it or save for it. There is way too much competition for ice. And everyone can do there part on a team. I do feel bad for those who are pirate impaired like me or unable to play fireworks now because the big scorers are back. Maybe for this period they should let the top 10 through to the fifth level. That would make the game fun again. And for pirates. One cube for level 1 two cubes for level two and cube cubes for level 3. Now that makes sense. Still have the fun of earning it but not the feeling of not quite being good enough.

Oh and if anyone has ice cubes for sale please pm me with the price and I will shop for you. (A non paid advertisement for the piratelyimpaired group. thank you )
