Bad food in Magic Kingdom 1/25?

its highly unlikely that food was the cause. Much more likely that you caught something. I don't get why people automatically assume something is food poisoning when it is last on the list of likelihoods, because they don't like the idea of it being contagious?
Exactly. For some reason people seem to think that food poisoning is rampant at WDW when the most obvious explanation is thousands of people crammed into the parks leading to a great environment for spreading a virus.

"Most" stomach virus's are fecal-oral in nature. A well person touches an object (doorknob, serving spoon at a buffet, handrail or any other object that is handled by other people and is contaminated with a sick persons virus) and then the virus enters their body, usually by that person touching something to eat or wiping their nose/eyes and then the virus enters the body. I believe that the majority of the time it is caused by eating something with contaminated hands. We wash our hands frequently at WDW and especially before we eat and NEVER touch the bathroom doorknob on the way out of the bathroom after we have just washed our hands. We also turn the water faucets off with a paper towels or the back of our hands. Think about it, if you turned on the water faucet with contaminated hands, washed your hands and then touched the dirty faucets, you are re-contaminating your hands.

I can tell you my husband and I were at Disney 12/21-12/27 and we had a great time until I woke up Christmas Day super sick and it's finally just going away. I am also a bit of a germaphobe so I always use sanitizer and wash my hands, but when you are with thousands of your closest friends at WDW its very easy to catch something. We are having a Disney-do-over in March, so hopefully we will stay healthy. Hope the family is all better.

I don't know if it was food related or not, it could have been anything, but one of my children vomited very violently overnight several times. He slept it off and felt fine when he awoke several hours later. The rest of us had no GI symptoms whatsoever. This was after spending the day in MK. My other children were ill with fevers and he never had a fever, so he was the only one who ate his lunch at BoG. They had all ordered the turkey sandwich but the others weren't feeling well enough to eat. He ate some and said he didn't like it. We didn't assume it was the sandwich, but after none of the rest of us got sick we started thinking about what he had and no one else had and that's all we could come up with. Who knows.

You can't keep your risk of norovirus at 0% but if you are smart you can reduce the risk considerably.

In all seriousness, do you have any other tips you'd be willing to share? I am admittedly a germophobe so this very scenario tends to weigh on my mind more than it should!

To the OP, I hope the rest of your trip was pleasantly uneventful! :)
