Well i went to universal today for the second time since i got my pass. Now ive been to universal a couple of times through my life. Ive been to WDW alot more . I loved universal the rides were great the cast members were great islands was great too rode the Hulk twice loved it. But my prob is with City Walk.
So we leave islands it was open to 8 okay but not great the studios were only open to 7 o well. We were looking for a place to eat. We looked at all the menus and finally decided on Latin Quarter. We walk in its a 25 min wait thats cool we dident have res so its cool. We waited got to our table and thats when the fun began.
We dident get any service for like 10-15 min. Then when we did get service all we got was a guy with water and when we asked for a server he ran off. Once she came over she dident ask us if we wanted drinks just what we wanted to eat so my bro thought he woudl go ahead and order his sprite and i my coke. She proceeded to run off so figuring since i had to wait before i flagged her down and placed our order.
I ordered the black bean soup the shish kabobs and my bro got the fajitas chicken and steak combo cool. So she brings out some rolls like 10 min later then my soup still no drinks just water so i told my bro were probley not gonna get our drinks. mind u we bascially only saw her twice since we started.
When she brought our meal i politely asked her where our drinks were she gave me this Why u asking me look and stormed off. Now i forgot to mention my black bean soup came out like seconds before our meal did so i had both sitting at the table. so after that we dident see her for like 10 min again we were done so she decided to check on us it was actually more like 20 min. once she came over i told her we wanted to get the tres leche for desert and the check at the same time so we could pay and we wouldent have to wait.
Well she brought the dessert and no check now im kinda getting steamed. So she finally brings the check after i asked her 2 times politely. Fortunaly i had cash so i could just leave it and go. That nightmare was over now on to nightmare 2.
I decided to go into the club next door called the groove. Well i must have had sucker written all over my face cause soon as i get in this guy is yelling at me. It was one of the bartenders he was like sir SIR i was like yes hes like it looks like u need a drink in that hand. Now i really just wanted to check it out but i was kinda wanting a drink so i got a margarita. He was makeing it and was telling me to sit and he was trying to make small talk with me so id stay and buy more drinks i was not trying to be rude but i wanted to move onto the other clubs. We talked for a min while he made my drink and i left.
The only good out of the evening was when i went to the cigar shop. I figured id get a nice smoke to have with my drink and please no flaming i dont do it all the time just once in a while. The guy in there and me had a nice chat about cigars he rang me up and i left.
So all and all my experience was not near as good as i would have gotten at pi. Next time im sry im just gonna go to pi. Im sure ill try the other restaurants but not gonna go back to the clubs. So watch out for the Latin Quarter not a good choice. Also thanks guys for giving me ur suggestions that helped alot.
