Bad end to accident at Disney

Although of course it is very sad that she had to lose her toes, I can't help but think that if this accident led to a diagnosis of diabetes, it's not all bad. If it had not happened, how long might she have gone without the diagnosis?

That was my thought, too. Blessings do not always come in the form of financial gain and getting something we want.

Diabetes and Disney seem to be a recipe for disaster. I was there in December and still nursing a diabetic ulcer on the bottom of my foot. After walking more than 6 miles per day it only got worse. By the time I got home I ended up spending six days in the hospital and having a piece of bone removed. All healed up now, but December was a weird month.

It sounds like a blessing in disguise. Had she not been hurt, she might have gone undiagnosed for much longer. I hope everything is downhill from here. :)

Bless her. I hope she gets well now that she has this diagnosis and has MANY MORE magical trips with her family.
