Bad cell signal at Pop Century?

I seem to remember reading somewhere that people had a hard time getting cell phone service in the POP rooms? Is this true? Is it only certain buildings?

Does the same go for AoA or any of the mods?

What about WiFi at POP? All of the resorts have free WiFi. Do they have good service??

I had a friend who was at AoA about a week ago (Lion King suite) and said there was no cell signal available to her at all.

Haven't had that problem at Pop...not the best signal and you might have to go outside or stand by the window, but there has been one.

WiFi has been fine.

There's more of a chance I'll be staying at POP than AoA so I hope POP has alright service

We have Sprint and while we are in WDW (everywhere in WDW), our phones as basically paperweights. They work for texting and calling about 1/2 the time.

I had great wifi and cell service at POP back in May, way better than AKL.

I had cell service everywhere at WDW parks and at Grand Floridian last March 2012. I use Verizon.

It could all depend what carrier you have. ATT is now the official carrier of
WDW.

I have TMobile and stay at Pop frequently. I have had very spotty service there. I find that if I go outside of the room it gets a little better. In the parks I have excellent cell service, and when I stayed at both Yacht and Beach Club, service was noticeably better. It could be all the cement in the value resort buildings because I have zero problems in other resorts/parks. The only other place in all of WDW that I get terrible to zero service is in the queue for Soarin.

I was at AoA in January in a LM room in building 9, first floor, and I had zero cell service in my room at all using AT&T. I could stand outside the door and make calls, but as soon as I stepped inside and shut the door, nothing at all - not even texts would come through.

The wifi in the room didn't work either, despite repeated calls to the help number. The front desk offered to move me to another room, but I liked the location I had and chose to stay despite the problem. My Verizon iPad got some cellular data service if I put it directly in the window, so I turned on the hotspot function and used that for internet for 10 days.

I really hope to not have this problem at Pop. I've stayed at AS Sports and Music and didn't have the problem there. I don't spend a lot of time in my room at WDW but I do need to be reachable by phone.

I was at Pop last week and my reception was fine-- never had any problems with it.
