On all trips to WDW I don't ever remember seeing a bathroom that was not spotless. But, on my last trip I noticed two HORRIBLE restrooms. The first one I noticed was the one behind the Yakitori Restaurant in Japan. Overflowng paper towels, water everywhere, no soap, and layers of toilet paper around the toilet. I ran out as fast as I could.

The second bathroom was at the Cape May Cafe. All most the same thing, but the toilets were one hundred times worst. I don't really need to go into detail, but if I did you might have to vomit. I no longer want to eat at either of those two restaurants any more after seeing there bathrooms. Any one else notice this?

Wow, I've never seen dirty bathrooms at WDW! I always thought they were remarkably clean, considering the great number of people who use them daily.

I'm sorry the filth turned you off, but I do hope it was just a fluke and they don't allow the bathrooms to get that way anymore!

The first thing I would have done was found the nearest CM and reported it.. it happens depending on crowds, and work load, but I would have reported it.. It is something that I cannot tolerate not the prices we pay to be there.

I just returned from the world and some of the restrooms were really gross. I never saw any cleaners anywhere. The rest of the Parks looked great. New paint and beautiful flowers.

Have we encountered dirty restrooms at WDW.I did report this to nearest CM and once just waited to see what would be done.In less than 10 minutes 4 CM's arrived and they cleaned that restroom top to bottom I was impressed with quick reponse.::yes:: :wave2:

I've noticed a lot of the trip reports reflecting this feeling lately too.

Wow mike, I really noticed it too at the beach club. I asked the server where the nearest bathroom was, well my dh asked what took me so long, I told him I almost lost the nice buffet dinner which he just paid for due to the uncleanliness of the bathroom. This was already the 2nd bathroom at the cape may I chose, the 1st one I walked right out of as the mom was changing a dirty diaper right before our nice buffet, and also the crystal palace was terrible too when we went in aug. I told dh why I was back in a jiffy, I told him forget it, lets go back to our poly room.

I had a horrible experience last June in a restroom in Epcot.

I walked into a stall and noticed the SMELL..but didn't notice anything else... until I stepped in it. :scared:

All I can say is it is a GOOD thing I have a decent sense of humor. First I smelled..then I stepped in it.. then.. I said it. ;)

The one in Asia at AK is notorious for being a sloppy one- always wet since people who just got off nearby Kali River Rapids are dripping all over the place. If possible, I always avoid it.

I thought the bathroom at Teppanyaki was pretty scary when I went there in December.

I'm sorry to read about the dirty restrooms! The clean restrooms was one of the many things I've always enjoyed about WDW. I hope WDW gets on top of the problem quickly.

We noticed a definite decline in restroom cleanliness on our last trip in December. It is true, we pay way too much for admission to tolerate dirty restrooms. From now on I will report unacceptable conditions instead of "letting it go".::MinnieMo

Thank goodness I only had an orange for breakfast !:p
If I remember correctly, many years ago when I first visited Epcot, I was so impressed by the cleanliness of the bathrooms and I actually think they were staffed with a CM. May be I am wrong.
But may be Disney should refurbish their bathrooms to the touchless, auto-flush type.::yes::

I recently did a pictoral kind of trip report about WDW bathrooms.
I was impressed since most bathrooms were very clean and smelled very nice!

Funny, I just posted this on the rumors board -

I've reposted this numerous times, but this is part of a trip report I did back last July -

Public bathrooms next to Morocco were the worst I have ever seen at WDW. I’m guessing at least 15 stalls? None had toilet paper, several were clogged, no paper towels and trash piled on the floor from days ago? My mom and I were totally blown away. My dad hunted down a CM and they called for someone to come clean. What a mess! Very disappointing!

I did email WDW after I got back. Weeks later someone called and apologized. I pointed out to her that I was very worried about seeing such things after I had just recently bought into DVC. Obviously, emails complaining of bathrooms being dirty doesn't improve things...

I'm also worried and embarrassed to take my parents back there this coming July. During a trip with them at Christmas both of them kept pointing out things to me. Made me embarrassed that I bought into DVC, I know they think I was foolish. We're a Disney family. My parents took me there often as a child. They can see a difference and so can I.

We just retruned a couple of weeks ago and both the mens and ladies room on the second floor of the (brace yourself) lobby area of the Grand Floridian were in horrible condition. This is one of those little things that has fallen off considerably in recent times.

One thing that I have come to expect from Disney is cleaniness of the parks and restrooms. I hope that these are isolated incidents.

We were there last Sept and did not run into any nasty bathrooms. Of course, the crowds were low. But we had one very funny incident with the bathrooms. It happened in AK at the African themed bathroom. You know the one--looks like part of the village. Anyway, we start in, and my 7 year old neice plants her feet, refuses to move, and starts on this rant about dirty bathrooms. Of course, she was basing this on how the outside looked. We had to drag her inside to get her calmed down. Everyone around was laughing at us and we were laughing too. Poor kid, had never seen a "themed" bathroom, and was shocked that the inside was clean. But seriously, I expect Disney to have clean bathrooms and it is sad that things have gotten so out of hand. Where has the magic gone?

On our last trip, we had no trouble with any of the WDW restrooms . . . except the one in the San Angel restaurant in Mexico. I don't know if they were trying to give people an idea of what old Mexico might be like, but the men's room smelled like someone had a donkey in there! I'm serious, I have been on many farms in my life, and it literally smelled like horse manure! GROSS! It was not clean at all, and my chicken enchiladas didn't taste too good after my trip to "el bano".
