Backstage Tour Weekend Official Meets

La Brea Bakery is at the east end of Downtown Disney (opposite end from the Disneyland Hotel). You'll see it on your right just before you go through the security checkpoint for the parks. It's across from the the tram unloading zone and very easy to spot.

I am going to try for breakfast and definitely lunch. I have never been to disney land. Is La Brea easy to find?
Yes, it's super easy to find. It is in Downtown Disney right before the security entrance where they check your bags. You have to pass it if you are coming from the parking lot trams or from the Disney hotels.

You will love Disneyland. See you there!

Hi folks, am in San Diego on business but may be able to join the Friday night meet. Looking forward to meeting folks. Just could not juggle things for the tour :sad1:

You have been added to the list we look forward to meeting you. Hope you can make it.

Thanks Don!!! Leaving San Diego soon (have to leave time for some outlet shopping)

I was able to get an earlier flight, and I'm here. Heading over to disneyland to get some fastpasses to use later tonight.

See you at the Bar :yay:

The first meet of the weekend was a smashing success!

A special thanks to Pete, Walter, and Teresa for coming and making it such an enjoyable time. We have DISers here from all over the country!

The party officially wrapped at midnight, when the last of us left. I think everyone truly had a wonderful time and lots of wonderful conversation flowed freely across all of the tables! Our server Ashley told us some fabulous stories from a lecture she went to at the Disney studios in Burbank today, where several Disney legends spoke. She said she was truly happy to share this with a group of people who truly understood!

Off to bed and looking forward to more happy things tomorrow. See you all then!

Thanks Nancy! Sounds like a wonderful time. Looking forward to hearing about today's fun.

It was a great time! It was so neat to meet Mary Jo in person :worship: so I could thank her for the great time on the cruise (and the tour of her purse) :rotfl:

Thanks everyone for a great weekend.

As luck would have it my 50-minute flight back home was over an hour late. We landed at San Jose just 8 minutes prior to the curfew and closing of the airport at 11 PM.
I have never seem passengers load a plane so fast. They just kept saying if we do not get loaded quickly, we will not be able to land in San Jose tonight. It is proof that people can do it quickly with the right motivation.

More on this later, need to get back to that work stuff.
Don

I heard them announcing that the SW flight to San Jose was delayed, wondered if it was yours. My flight went off on time, landed in Atlanta at 5am, my connecting flight was at 7:30 and my luggage did not make the flight.:scared1:

So, because I was a momentary idiot when I was repacking my new rolling duffle bag - my car keys were in my checked bag. I had to wait for 2 more flights from Atlanta for my stupid bag to show up.

So the beginning and end of the trip were pretty bad, but the middle was GREAT.

What a great time we all had. The tour, once started, was fantastic but the real magic for me was meeting so many great people. I am convinced that Nancy's daughter Zoe is going to grow up and I will see her as Alice in Wonderland.

I am glad that all have arrived home safely even if it was just moments before the airport closed for the evening.

A big thank you to SFBayDon who picked on all the arranging when I got sick, and also to Pete & Walter who knows how to make us all feel like we really are part of their family. The lunch was a nice ending. Looking forward to when we all are together again.

Carol
