Backstage Safari 11/21-anyone with info?

I'm so excited I finally signed up for the Backstage Safari tour 11/21. AK is my favorite park so I'm really looking forward to this tour. Anyone who's done it before-any tips? And how did you get to the park for 8:15-8:30? The CM said I may have to get a taxi, but I didn't think they let any vehicles into the parking lot before 8:30. But do the buses definitely run that early? The CM didn't think so, so I'm not sure how to get there.
