Backstage Magic Tour

Just wondering if anyone has done the backstage magic tour? How much does it cost? How far out should you book? Do you definitely go backstage at ToT?

I have had the opportunity to do it twice. It is a lot of fun and full of interesting facts about WDW.

When I went the cost was about $200, but it is a 7-hour long tour that includes lunch. I would definitely book a couple of months in advance just to make sure you get in. I took the tour about 3 years ago and we did NOT go backstage ToT. We started in EPCOT, then went to DHS (ate lunch at Mama Melrose), then headed to MK.

I went on the tour this past June and technically we went backstage at ToT. We saw the outside of the building and went into one of the work rooms where they store one of the extra elevator cars. You get to see the elevator car up close, but that's about it for the "backstage" stuff there.
