If your backpack cannot go on a ride with you, what do you do with it? Are there holding places at the rides?

Thanks,

I can't think of any rides at WDW where a person cannot bring a backpack. There is an area in the center of Kali River Rapids to put it so it doesn't get wet, but it's a limited amount of space.

Where do people usually put their backpacks when they are on rides with no specific place to put them. Do you keep it on your back, put it in between your feet? What is the best way to handle a backpack on rides?

:sunny: We put ours mostly between our feet or beside me in the ride. Plenty of room unless you have a hiking gear backpack.
I can't think of any ride like Tigger@belle said that there is no room what so ever for the backpack.

I wouldn't take a backpack on Rockin' Roller Coaster, Tower of Terror, Space Mountain, Splash Mountain, Mission Space, Body Wars, Big Thunder Mountain, Star Tours, or Goofy's Barn Stormer. Most other attractions should be fine.

We've taken our backpack on just about everything including the ones mentioned above without any problem. If I have to put it on the floor of a roller coaster type ride I usually loop my leg thru one of the straps, but even then I never felt like it was going to fly out anywhere.

Some rides have a little net or container that will hold a normal sized backpack. I didn't have a problem, even on ToT or Rock n Roller Coaster.

We've taken it on ToT and RnR by putting it on the floor and putting my leg through the strap. I think I did the same on Splash, but don't remember for sure. Mission Space has a bin to put things in. Seems that some of the other simulators do, too, but I don't remember for sure. I wouldn't leave a backpack unattended and wouldn't want someone sitting out just to watch the stuff. If that were the case I would get a locker.

Another one for the 'leg through the strap' on those wilder rides. Now I'm using a fanny pack more often than not and when I get on a ride, I just turn it so it's on my side. Don't even have to unbuckle it. I don't think there really are any rides that prohibit your 'carry-ons'. There will be either a mesh type slot to put it in, or you can put your leg/foot thru it and hold onto it that way. The only one that I don't do that for is Splash. then I move the strap up to my thigh!!! That way it doesn't get wet.
