Backpacks

If it is fullsize back pack, get a locker inside the park. OR if you have little ones, take the valueables out, and leave the back pack in the stroller. Which mean syou would need a fanny pack or smaller size back pack as well.

A smaller backpack can be brought on rides. Some rides have a pocket to store, others, you can hold it. For example, on BTMR or ToT, I put my leg through the backpack straps and sit on them and let the back pack go between my feet and I am fine to put my hands up!

Unless it's a *huge* backpack you shouldn't have any problem carrying it on the rides. Just rember to loop it around your legs (or secure it in some other way) on the thrill rides.
I always saw people bring large bags (sometimes several large bags) on the rides and it wasn't really a problem most of the time. (Unless you try to cram 6 adults and 6 large backpacks on one Magic Carpet...then you might have a problem).
Unlike Universal, I believe Disney allows bags on every ride.

We always put it by our feet and if the ride is going to be rough, I will loop a strap over one of my legs. The main exception to this is Kali where they have a somewhat waterproof center section where bags go.

If it is a small backpack, sometimes I just wear it on my front for a ride. If it is a big one, I put it on the floor and loop a strap overf my knee.

I loved that about disney, that the bag went with me on all of the rides.

I carry ours onto the ride and hold it.

We are trying to get away from the backpack this year though. Not that it was a bother, I just want to go as carefree as possible.
