Looking for recommendations for a backback and website information if possible. Please include details, size etc. on the back pack - I've looked at several, but wanting an experienced opinion for a day pack.

You'll pay a bit more, but LL Bean has some terrific ones. I have one that I bought used at a yard sale that is just great.

Got my backpack purse at Kmart a few years ago but have to tell you I love it. IT is more like a purse with straps like a back pack. We have teens so all we take is ponchos, two frozen gatorades and crackers plus camera and goodies! This is not as bulky as a full size backpack and I found it in the purse section. Has a huge zipper in back (great for two sippy type gatorade bottles and it keeps you cool against your back!) If you have teens may not want everybody to take a pack just MOM:( and than DH uses a fanny pack for money and passes for a quick access to fastpass.

Try www.ebags.com. They have good prices and nice bags. I bought small backpacks for my kids there and they were great for our trip.

I'd recommend LLBean. Thats what I have and love it. They have some nice hip packs too(I have 2 of them). One that you can carry like a backpack or hip pack. Its not as big as a day pack, tho.

You don't say what you need it for or how it will be used, so I'm not sure if this will suit your needs. I purchased mine at a sporting goods store. It has a drawstring closure with a flap , 2 zippered compartments and 2 side pockets withflaps held down with secure closures. But its best feature is the frame of it is a campstool, so whenever I'm watching a parade, in a long lineup, etc. I open it up and sit down. It's perfect for me in Disney World. I've often said " it's worth its weight in gold" and when ever I use it someone always remarks how ideal it is. I always have a seat.

I used a small (Jansport) backpack on our last trip, and ended up regretting it ... got very sweaty and hard on the shoulders after a long day.

I've recently purchased a fanny pack for our stockpile of 'stuff' (camera, sunglasses, sunblock, etc.). I haven't broken it in yet, but I think it's worth checking out, from LL Bean ($29):

It has four outer mesh panels that I'll use for water bottles (yet to get!). There is a larger one that doubles as a backpack, and a smaller one as well.

LL Bean also has a tremendous collection of backpacks. Great name, great value (no, I don't work there!).
