Backpack/Bag

Does anyone use "fanny packs" anymore? I used to like them but then switched to backpacks.

The Disney store sells them, but calls them "travel packs". A little flatter than a fanny pack, but with an outside pocket for your cell phone. I hate having a sweaty back from a back pack. Ugh

I carry a Vera Bradley Cross Body if I'm not taking my camera, or in chillier weather, has enough space for my wallet, maybe a snack or two and a sweater

Mainly though I carry the smaller version of teh VB backpack, fits a TON of stuff, snacks, dslr with 2 extra lenses, sweater, sunscreen, waterbottle, etc

My preference is for a crossbody bag. Mine is the eBags Piazza day bag. It has loads of pockets, including one that holds my Brita water bottle. It's also water resistant and saved my phone from being drowned on PoTC.

I've been looking at getting that Piazza bag...how is the strap against your neck in the heat? I can't tell from the pictures how smooth it is (or isn't)

Thanks!

The strap is a little bit rough, so I just made sure to arrange it so it was on my shoulder covered in fabric. Also, I got it in blue, so my husband was fine with carrying it if I was too hot.

I use a SwissGear sling bag that I bought at Target for ~$30. It works great, and so many compartments to store stuff in. I am always able to carry what I need into the parks.

Really want to get a Vera Bradley hipster bag, but my Baggalini has held up so well now for several years, that I can't justify it. I have one like this: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00L15UJ22/ref=twister_B004XGBSDK?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1. I got it at Ross (like Marshall's) for about $20. Fits a lot, but isn't bulky and is really cute.

DD swears by her Eddie Bauer sling bag. She and her fiance both have one. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Eddie-Bauer-Sling-Pack-Small-Backpack-Aqua-Blue-NWT-/181542913779. They come in a few colors.

Baggallini cross body that I bought at AAA last year. It's slender with a few zippers, water resistant and can fit my phone, hubs phone, and smaller odds and ends. But we aren't the type to bring water bottles and bulky things - just the essentials.

I've started using my Baggallini all the time now. I'm more into comfort than fashion.

If I didn't need to carry an eyeglasses case, I'd skip a bag entirely.

I was at Disney last week and carried around the LL Bean Stowaway Day Pack:

I loved it-extremely light and practical. It held everything I needed it to- ponchos, lotion, tissues, autograph books, etc. I chose the gray and glad I did. A unisex color is ideal if you want to let other members of your party have a turn! Even my son wanted to wear it. I like the idea of crossovers or slings, but they never sit right on me and feel awkward.

I carry a Vera Bradley saddle bag.... my hubby carries a backpack :daisy:

I started using a waist pack (new term for fanny pack) on our last trip and I am sold on it! It saves my neck from the pain I was experiencing with a cross-body bag after several days in parks. And it is very easy to access your stuff!

My backpack doesn't have a "waste" belt, but it doesn't have a waist belt either.

This has been a quest I have been on for some time. What is the perfect theme park bag. I have spent countless hours trying to find the perfect balance of space and lightweight. I have purchased mesh backpacks, cross body bags and fanny packs (my wife hates fanny packs). I think I have found the perfect bag. The problem was further complicated when I bought a new bog camera so I needed space and protection. I finally found a great bag that I plan to use on our next visit in August 2016 (my wife and my 20th anniversary).
I hope this will be my final purchase, but lets be honest I will probably find issues with it. It is light keeps my camera safe and I can switch it from the back to the front easily to keep my back from getting too hot. I got it on sale for $25 so its not expensive.
