Hi everyone..it seems this Website was catered for me...lol...and everybody else who is on the board often..anywho...

so I'm addicted to magnets/keychains/mugs...but I think there comes a point when you have too many mugs/keychains/magnets...

so I'm slowly getting into the pin collecting..I have 4 pins already..but I don't think I want to be involved in pin trading...I love the 4 I have and it took me a while to decide which ones to buy...except..I don't know where to pin them..I pin them on my camera lanyard because its always around my neck..but I kept losing the backing of the pins...and then I lost the little american flag that Epcot gave me on the 4th and I'm so mad about that...I don't want to use another lanyard because I'll have too many things around my neck...and I don't wear hats...so I don't know what to do..I don't want to lose them..the backings are not stable enough!!

I want to keep collecting the pins..like I said each one I've bought so far means alot to me..any ideas..are there a better way to lock them?

Carful on a camara strap as they can rub on the camara and scratch the pin or camara

Yup, we have those locking backs to keep certain pins on. They do add more weight but the piece of mind is worth it. Get yourself a lanyard tho, wearing them on your camera strap is probably not the best idea. :)

And to add to this, it is a good idea to have a bulletin/corkboard at home if you want to display them and not keep them hanging on a lanyard.:wizard:

Locking backs can be a problem too. The locks are stronger than the glue that holds the pointy part to the metal. If you put the pins on something you use often, or that might get banged around a lot, you might find that the best part of the pin has been lost.

We had some of those little flag pins. I don't know if we still have any. We weren't really keeping them. If I do find one, I'll let you know.

You unscrew the little nut with your little allen wrench that is included with the locking backs, you place the back on the pin post and tighten the nut. That's it, very simple.
