On our last DCL cruise on the Magic it seemed that the background music had hardly any Disney music. I am adding a poll to see if you think this is good or bad. If enough say that it is bad maybe they will reconsider.

I just read today on a different thread that they dont really play disney music in the backround anymore.

This CANNOT BE!!!!

One of my favorite things to do is sit in the elveator lobby and just listen to the music. Also, when I am walking around I love to sing along with the music. It makes me feel soo comfortable to hear that music, and the thought of it not being there is not cool!

SAVE THE MUSIC!

Drats.. I just voted wrong... I did not read it close enough.. I thought it was if music on board was good/bad...

While I can't hear the background music myself if I could I would want Disney music.

Don't feel bad you aren't the only one, I just did the same thing, and didn't realize it until after my vote was counted.

I said doesn't matter...but you need to be a little more specific. If it is one of the greats, i.e. Frank Sinatra, Judy Garland, or a Broadway show tune then fine. If it is rap or country I don't want to hear it. I love the Disney music, we have all of the collections, but I enjoy other things also. If DCL is not going to play Disney themes they need to substitute with pieces that are of equal quality and also that are familiar to most of the passengers. Maybe they could change from Disney to Judy after 8pm ? To all of you classical music lovers...yes, I enjoy that too, but most people want something they can hum along with when they're walking down the hall.

I'm not sure what I voted for either. But on our cruise last November the only thing they played as background music was Christmas carols. I'm not Scrooge ... I love Christmas and the carols. But on a cruise I want to hear island/tropical/vacation music - not Christmas carols 24/7. So - I would much prefer Disney music over the Christmas carols.

this is the first cruise i've noticed background music while going to your staeroom. could have been there before and could have been disney tunes so thats why i probably didn't take note of it then. however on this trip i definitly took note of it. now i do like dean martin and "everybody loves somebody sometime" and all the other golden oldies from dino but to me it just wasn't putting me in a disney mind set. disney ship, disney theming, play disney music. by the way, each morning when i went for coffee at the same time it was the same dean martin song playing. arrrggggg!!!!!
