I know how we're getting to Hoop de doo, (from the parks) but how do I get back to our hotel at port Orleans? :scratchin

I vote for helicopter :thumbsup2

I would first need to know what time the show you are seeing is, and what time MK closes cause I have went to the early hoop and then just boated over to MK and then bussed to POFQ. I like to take the boats, especially at night as I love the serenity. Then I ruin the serenity by getting on a bus, but still, I had my serenity didn't I.

The last time we were at the Hoop Dee Doo, we did the last show of the evening, and they had buses waiting for us to take us to any resort. It seems like you chose bus A, B, or C, and they told you which area each bus was heading. If you dawdle in the restrooms after the show, you might miss the bus and be stranded. But as long as you hustle outside to where the buses were waiting, Disney took care of you. They don't want you to be stranded at Fort Wilderness anymore than you don't want to be!

Word of caution! The bus we were on that night was an icebox. Granted, it was still 90 degrees outside as the clock approached midnight, but inside that bus it was 45 degrees tops. Everyone asked, pleaded, cried for the airconditioning to be turned off, but the bus driver insisted that he had no way to do it. We didn't have jackets because of the heat, and we were the last stop that evening on what turned out to be a very long bus ride in a freezer!

The great part to POR is the extra added benefit of having access to the water at DTD and the resort bus hub. I always plan to end my day having dinner and hanging around the resort a bit and taking the DTD bus. The water taxi runs every 10 minutes after 4 pm unitl 11 pm, so you never wait very long. The DTD buses run until 2 am.
