We are thinking about expanding our vacation with a 6 day WDW stay after our Eastern cruise. The trip is for DH42, DD7,DS7 and me (you don't really want to know how old I am).

Good idea or bad? (Are we insane? Will I have a laundry crisis on my hands?)
Better to spread them out? (Will I need a vacation from my vacation?)
Should we do WDW before or after? (We like to save the best for last.)

Thanks from the land of indecision,
RTM

This is what I would do ~ Go to WDW first! You will be running around etc. and then when you cruise you will definately be in a more relaxed state of mind!

But then again either or!LOL

Another vote for the WDW trip FIRST, then relax on the cruise....then I would do a few hours of shopping at Downtown Disney to get my last fix before our flight home after the cruise!!!

We usually book a late day flight for the above reason and always had a good time. We also do a one-way rental from the port to Airport so we have a place for luggage and can go where we please that day!!!

Ditto with all the above posters! You go like mad at the parks, and the cruise is the best way to really relax from the go go go of the parks. We don't have the energy (even after all that relaxation) like MJ does ;) , so we have gotten a day room at the Hyatt at MCO after our trip. Our flight has left at 6:00pm both times, so we sleep, watch a movie, get a swim in, and even get last minute shopping done at Disney's Ear Port store!

The past 3 summers, years we've cruised followed by 10 - 12 more days split between VB and BWV. It is wonderful. I'm exhausted after the cruise, catching up on some more R&R and park hopping is great.

The only thing to be aware of is that paying for food at the parks is a shock after the cruise.

I think either would be great as long as you don't do the parks in Kamikaze mode. The world won't come to an end if you don't do EVERYTHING. Six days sounds like time for a more leisurely pace without missing anything important.

We did 4 days at the parks after our Eastern and I did laundry late Thursday night I think - mainly because I had found that I was enjoying wearing some things more than others but we were all adults. You're more likely to have dirty stuff with 2 7yo boys. If you do parks first, laundry rooms on the ship are really empty the first day so you shouldn't have any problems getting a couple of loads in.

If you have the time and the money, I'd say go for it and just deal with whatever happens.
