Back-to-back questions...

So when you go back into the terminal ahead of anyone waiting outside can you check in right then? I assume you need to redo the check in process with the forms for the second cruise new KTTW cards etc?

Correct. There will be a few counter stations open for you to check back in and get the green boarding pass which allows you on the boat first. This process happens before the terminal is open for anyone else. I will note that if you leave the terminal for any reason (like to go to your car to grab the sunglasses you forgot or drop off a bag of dirty laundry) you will not be let back into the terminal until it opens for all guests.

It may not be "right then" but very soon. They have to completely close out the previous cruise and then open the new one, which can sometimes take a few minutes.

When you are doing online check in for the second back-to-back cruise, does the system still require you to select a port arrival time? Thank you!

We just did a B2B on the Magic out of Miami. We had to meet in the lounge to be escorted off the ship. There was a security incident on the pier so we were not allowed off the ship
and were detained for about an hour. We were then escorted off the ship (DH had an ECV) and one of the elevators was not working so we had to drive all the way to the other side
of the terminal. Long story short, by the time we checked in for our second cruise they were already letting folks into the terminal for their cruise. After 30 minutes were were
able to get back onto the ship. We took the ECV to our cabin and I think we grabbed some food before DH took a nap. When I went back at 1:25PM to check on him the ropes
were still up so I politely told the folks "I was checking on my disabled DH", no one said anything. It was a nice back to back experience. It was the first time we
sailed out of Miami..

Did a back to back last week on the Wonder. So your mileage may vary, on the Dream. There were only about 12 of us total doing back to back. We did not gather for disembarking the ship, But we were asked to be off the ship by nine. Customs had no lines, so back into the terminal at 9:05. The first cruise must've closed out quickly, because Check-in began about 930. I had actually met the ships chief financial officer during the gold/platinum reception on the first leg. It was interesting to hear how the process works. We were escorted back on the ship just as the passengers from the first bus from the airport came upstairs, so maybe 1015 or so. Cove Café was open for us, and the coffees were on the house, which was really nice!

We just did the b2b of march 10 and March 13th, we stayed in the same room and kept the same servers.
We were told we would received something in our room the night before. We did not. We got off the ship when most of the passengers had already left. (I was doing laundry that morning - great time to do it, no on was there)

We were in line with the DVC sales person and she explained that we had to have an orange card. After clearing customs, you head towards the exit as normal and then take a u turn had head back up the escalators and do check in. We are platinum and that check in area was not open yet. We got the orange card from the person who checked us in. Shortly there after, the kids club area opened up and were able to re-check the kids in. They do put you in the concierge waiting area and when allowed, you go through a different door and scan you new card to get onto the ship. There are no photographers this early. We were off the ship for a total of 1 hr. You do not get announced if you get back on this early. So I announced us :-) We were able to go to Guest Services and book our tasting classes and we were first on the wait list for a Bungalow - to no avail.

Someone told us there was free coffee at Cove Café, so after finishing up our laundry we headed there. No free coffee, but Captain Thord stopped by and we chatted with him.

Any questions, feel free to ask.

Oh and when we got back to our room, there were the instructions and orange card :-)

We never got an orange card and the letter was on the fish the night before, not in the room and just told us to be off by 9 am. We left about 9:30 so we'd have short lines at customs and were able to check in right away and were back on for 10:30. It feels both odd and nice to stand in line for customs without having to haul and monitor luggage. I don't know if the coffee was free in the Cove Cafe when we reboarded because I ordered a mint moche latte there and I doubt they'd be passing that out for free. Totally easy and painless. We spent most of the time in the Concierge lounge until boarding and the Cove Cafe after boarding until lunch reading so it was a nice relaxing morning. We also went to Guest Services right away to book tastings so got our pick although. Stayed with the same servers as they knew our preferences (best assistant server ever!). I liked having repeat menus. There were a couple of things I liked the first time so had them again and there were a few things I wasn't able to have the first time so had them the second time. Having done the champagne tasting on the first leg, I came to love the iced champagne and we'd go to the Meridian lounge to get it. It was really nice on the second one to walk in and have the server see me and just ask "the usual?" before we'd even sat down. We went so often she'd sometimes bring us chocolate covered strawberries or chocolate caramels. Instead of going to the sail away party the second time, we sat out on the deck outside the Meridian lounge and just listened while having a drink and watching the ship pull out of Port Canaveral. You get really good views from there.

Did a b2b feb 2016 on the Magic, and a b2b feb 2017 on the Wonder. The process was similar on each. Very organized on the Magic. On the Wonder you were on your own. Both times we keep the same cabins and same serving teams. Both times we did 3/4. But we booked a b2b for feb 2018 on the wonder and doing a 3/7 so that will be different for us. Not so much of a repeat as the 3 us a Bahamas's cruise the 7 is the western Caribbean, but still 2 stops at castaway cay.

Well, 3 of the 7 nights the menu will repeat, as will the shows.
