What would it be like practically if you did a back to back next spring...

5 nights on the Fantasy arriving back in PC Friday
followed by
3 nights on the Wish departing Friday

How would that work in terms of docking/port/etc.?

Has anyone ever done something like this? would it be such a pain don't even bother?

We did our first ever side by side this year.

The Disney Magic followed by the Celebrity Beyond.

It worked really well. We hung out on the Magic until just after 9am. Then caught a taxi from the one pier to the other.

We were on the Beyond by 11am.

I wouldn’t hesitate to do it again.

In the case of DCL are they both in the same terminal building though? Can you just hang out in the terminal or do you have to stand outside for 2 hours between?

You leave through Customs. Then come back in. Actually, you will be changing terminals to Terminal 10. Close. Maybe an Uber to somewhere you can hang out?

If both are in Port Canaveral, they will be at two different terminals (8 and 10), which makes me think you would have to wait outside after disembarking before the other terminal would open. I have never done a side-by-side, but I think that would make the most sense.

we would be driving... so we'd have to drive the car from one port to the next? that seems to stressful....

Even better. Disembark from Terminal 8 (Disney). Drive down / up to a beach. Or somewhere, depending on when you clear customs and reach your car. Have a better breakfast at Cracker Barrel. Even McD’s. Find a Starbucks or Dunkin. With internet.

When your PAT comes, return to port area and park at Terminal 10 for the Wish. Parking garages at PC usually allow cars in ~10, 10:30.

You see the DCL Terminal 8 labeled. Terminal 10 is where the other ship is docked (red arrow).

You can leave a suitcase of clean clothes in the trunk and change out your first cruise stuff.

If it seems overwhelming, no shame in considering and scrapping the idea.

If you are driving, just leave the first cruise and drive to the beach for a while. There are beautiful beaches right past the terminal. Then drive back to terminal 10, which is right past the normal Disney terminal 8. This seems like a great idea - a way to experience 2 Disney ships in the same trip!

I have always enjoyed when we do B2Bs so from my perspective, this scenario of side by side sounds like a great idea. If I liked the Wish enough to sail on it again, I might have looked into this. ;)
