I’m having a crazy idea we are scheduled on a 4 night magic in august we disembark on a Monday would it be crazy to rent a car and drive to pc to go on the wish that same day? I really want to sail the magic but kind of bummed it’s only 4 nights leading me to think of these crazy ideas. I mean we could do a back to back in the magic but not crazy on the itinerary.

I think it's a fun idea, compare the oldest with the newest ship. Yes, it is a bit crazy, but a good kind of crazy.

While not "crazy" I'd be nervous that the Magic might not make it back into port in time to make the connection. Remote, sure, but the possibility would still be there.

We love doing B2Bs, but a Side 2 Side (what this is called - 2 consecutive cruises on different ships) can have issues, especially if you're actually traveling between two different ports to make the connection.

It's interesting that you post this, you are not alone in this thinking. We are looking at a 4 night on the Magic in August (perhaps even the same cruise?) that gets back to FLL on the Monday and I, too, was considering how difficult and feasible it would be to get from FLL to PC for a cruise on the Wish that leaves the same day. In the end we decided NOT to do that. We are still deciding on perhaps making it a b2b with the 5 night before this cruise (which goes to Castaway and Cozumel) or trying to book a few nights at Vero Beach after the 4 night cruise (we would have to book at the 7 month mark and I'm not sure how difficult Vero is to get at 7 months in the summer).
Not super helpful I suppose but just wanted you to know you are not alone in your thinking ;)

August 22 is the one we are and that would be fun if it was the same as you

I don't see why not, overall I think its super doable only like 3 hours between the ports. Plan for self carry off luggage so you can be in the first groups off. I mean sure there is an incredibly small chance something could delay the magic, but your still in the early season for hurricanes so that isn't super likely. Numerous things in life that can mess up the best laid plans that sometimes you just can't worry about it all.

Sounds super fun in the end! Go for it.

Would hiring a car service be an option? Renting and returning a rental on the same day but another location seems like a huge time suck.

I was thinking about doing this on other dates due to a shorter cruise and not liking the 7 night fantasy itinerary at that time. We decided not to but I definitely think it wouldn’t be too hard.

Back in 2020, we did a 7-night on the Fantasy, flew from Orlando to San Juan the afternoon we disembarked, and boarded the Wonder for a 7-night the next day 🤪
Totally think the side to side by car is do-able, and shouldn't take to much top work out the logistics. Enjoy!!!

The above takes more planning but things can work out. Our son got the "bi-coastal" side to side. Due to work schedules, DW and him did Navigator of the Seas out of LA, I caught up with them after they disembarked. We flew home on a red-eye so he and I could catch the Harmony leaving PC. The hard part was my wife had to drop us off right after landing so we were at the cruise terminal before 8 AM.
