1. If you do not have the same stateroom for both cruises, can you still stay on the ship on the last day?

2. If you have done this before with kids, can you tell me if the kids liked being onboard for 2 weeks, or was it too much for them?

3. If you do have the same stateroom, do you tip your stateroom attendant at the end of both cruises, or wait until the end of the second cruise?

Thanks!
DJ

We are doing back to back cruises in February so I can't answer your questions from experience yet, but this is what I've been told:
1. You are able to stay on the ship even if you do not have the same stateroom for both weeks. There are no services available though - it would be nice to know if the pools will be open at this time ...
2. We took our first DCL cruise last winter, and when we were planning our winter trip for this coming year, we asked our DD (9) if she would prefer to do a one week cruise and two weeks in Florida - this is what we did last year; or two weeks on the ship and one week in Florida. She suggested the alternative of THREE weeks on the cruise... So from her perspective, the cruise was definitely worth staying on for at least two weeks.
3. We are planning to tip our stateroom attendant at the end of each week.

Hope this helps,
Annie

I would guess that the pools would not be open because when we went on our 3 day a few weeks ago we were the first ones to make it up to deck 9; we asked if we could use the Mickey Pool, but were told they were still cleaning it. The Goofy pool was available, but I bet they cleaned it before the did the Mickey Pool earlier that day.

So it is just a guess, but I am thinking the pools would be closed.

I bet the Arcade would be open, and I have heard that laundry rooms are open (and that this is a good time to do laundry).

Other than that, I doubt that there is much to do during the morning, but I am sure the time will go by fast.

Thanks for the response! I have DH almost convinced to do this in 2005, so I am hoping we can get the same stateroom for both cruises.

I was thinking that this would be a good time to get some laundry done as well.... Also, we can be first in line for Palo and Spa reservations, and of course, for lunch! I hope you can convince your DH to do this, I think mine would live onboard if I let him...
