back to back cruise/customs allowance

For anyone who has ever done a back to back cruise....
How does your customs allowance work? DH and I are doing an Eastern/Western in 2006, and he said he would like to find me something sparkly for our anniversary!!

I'd like to know the answer to this as well since we're doing back-to-back cruises in August 2006. Anyone know??? TIA

We did two week back to back last January. I believe the allowance is the same whether you are gone 1 day or 1 month. It is by the trip. I may be wrong but that is how we were told.
