Back to Back 4 and 3 night

Does anyone know if you can leave your belonging in your room if you can schedual a 4 night and 3 night back to back in the same room.

With the Magic being on the West coast next summer this is something we are looking at for next year.

DCL..told me sometimes you can, sometimes they make you get off..depending on security and how things are going at the time.

The people on our magic western..did the 7 days back to back..they got to stay right in their cabin and enjoy the ship..when everyone else got off.

We are doing the back to back panama/mexican next may...and they said..we won't know until that time..whether or not we can stay on the ship between sailings. You just have to ask at check in..remind your cabin steward..that type thing.

Is 3day/4 day back to back cheaper or more expensive than the 7 day? Just curious

I thought about this also for next year. Would like to hear fi it is about the same price. Won't you have all the same entertainment repeated? I think Barb and Tony did this- maybe we can get their feed back.

As far as price goes, here is a data point:
(This comparison is from the DCL website, with 2 adults, category 6, and no transfers or insurance)

7-day Eastern, January 22-29, 2005: $3414.70

4-day, January 23-27, 2005: $1901.70

3-day, January 27-30, 2005: $1681.70


Total for 7-day: $3414.70
Total for back-to-back 3&4 day: $3583.40

Now, if you compare the prices with the special west-coast cruises, it changes the comparison the other direction (since the prices for the west-coast cruises are a bit inflated). Here is the comparison for the last week of July 2005:

7-day West-coast total: $5463.16
3/4 day back-to-back: $4783.40

Personally, I loved the 7-day cruise, but was underwhelmed by the 3-day, so I would rather have 1 great cruise than two so-so cruises.
