back packs on rides?

Last time I chickened out at Rocking Rollar Coaster because it said I couldn't have a back pack, and that freaked me out to no end. I know, dumb, but it seriously freaks me out.

So my questions are: is it really true you can't take a back pack on RRC? Are there any other rides in which a back pack can't be taken with?

I think the reason for this on RRC is because you may lose items out of the bag or even the bag itself. I don't really know for sure, though.

Last year when I rode Rnrc I thought I rode with my backpack....has it always been that you can't have it on the ride?

You can ride it with a back pack. I have it with me when I go on every ride. Just make sure that you have a leg looped through the bag for the twists!

You can have backpacks, but make sure everything is secured! Backstage at RnR they have a shrine of items that have fallen from the ride (mostly individual flip flops last time I heard). Since a lot of these items can cause the ride to go 101 (closed down during the day/broken down) if they land on a sensor in the ride, the CMs visit it everyday to appease the 101 gods.

I do the same ...I just make sure it is looped a few times around my foot/leg :thumbsup2

You just can't ride Rock N Roller Coaster wearing the backpack. Because of the head restraints. You can very easily put it at your feet and like others have suggested, loop a strap around your ankle. Or put it in your lap with your arm through one of the straps.

I've always brought my backpack on RnR (and every other ride). It sits on the floor between my feet. :thumbsup2

I too ride RnRC with my backpack... I simply put it on the floor facing away from me and put one foot/leg through each of the arm straps... Trust me that thing isn't going anywhere! Just make sure that everything is zipped/snapped up! :sunny:

Like the previous posters, I have taken a backpack on nearly every ride. Just secure it around your legs. It will move around a little on the corkscrews. ;) Last week I slipped my sunglasses into my fanny pack while riding the Phoenix at Knoebel's Grove in PA. That's a roller coaster that really flings you around! My glasses were totally bent up.
