Back on dry land

Well sadly we are back from our amazing cruise.

Had a wonderful time with wall to wall sunshine from the moment we landed in Barcelona to the minute we took off in Venice.

Our itinerary was as follows: Barcelona, Villefranche (where we caught the train to Monaco), Florence, Rome, Naples (we caught the Hydrofoil to Positano and the bus from there to Sorrento), Santorini, Athens (didn't do this port as a. I had been before, b. it was 96 degrees c. we needed a chill out day), Dubrovnik and lastly Venice.

Loved every port but our favourites have to be Santorini and Dubrovnik. We didn't book any of the ship's excursions but did it ourselves using public transport and it all worked out very well thanks to copious amounts of planning.

I did write notes and took loads of photos so hope to do a trip report when I have caught up with the boring mundane stuff and when my hands have recoved from an unfortunate incident in Dubrovnik!!!

Next holiday Disney World in May - so less than a year doesn't sound too bad

Sounds like a fab holiday, Tam - can't wait for the trip report as I've absolutely got cruise-mania at the moment! DD and I decided yesterday to book our next Girls Only holiday - a 6 day cruise from Venice, taking in Split, Mykonos and Athens before returning to Venice with RCL...
