Got back on friday night after a great 1st trip. Unfortunately DH did get the dreaded man-flu, but tried his best to fight his way through it. DSIL also had a sickness bug which didn't help and i do not know how she got up in the morning and managed the next day. Must have been all the disney magic.
Not been able to write anything as after we got back both me and DH and DNiece have all been really bad with sickness bug:sick: Would appear that DBr is only one who is still managing to fight it off!!

Anyway i am planning on writing a trippie when i come around a bit more.
Sickness aside, the Parks where really great. The weather was soooo cold!!!
There were a couple of things that could have been better, one of which has developed into a big discussion- the near rugby scrum at character meets :scared: . More about spoiling my manners in the trip report.

It is our D Nieces 7th birthday today, Happy Birthday Eve:cake:

DLP certainly needs to invest in handlers for the characters! And maybe tasers for some of the guests :lmao: Sorry you are all:sick: Get well soon, I want to read your trippie :thumbsup2

Welcome back, hope you feel better soon  what an horrible timing to be sick :sad2:

Glad you had a good time despite all the illnesses. We were at DLRP the same time as you (also our first trip) and it was freezing wasn't it?! I wonder if our paths crossed at any point?
Luv Suzy

Nice to have you back, what a shame about the illnesses, hope your feeling better soon.
Look forward to reading all about your trip.:)

Hi Cass,
I'm not Sharon Mouse, but I was there last week and it was definately colder than here in the South of England. When we arrived in France early in the morning on Tuesday everything was white (DS thought it was snow, bless him) - it was a heavy frost! All the parked cars had ice on their windows  I'm not sure if there was frost any other morning as we didn't get up early enough to notice, but it was very cold especially on the days when we had those lovely blue skies. We had to dress up in long sleeved tops, jumpers, coats, hats, scarves and gloves. There were times during the day when in the sun when it felt warm enough to take out coats off, but the temperature dropped a lot in the evening. It was a bit milder on the days when it was cloudy, but still seemed really cold at night.
Layers are the way to go, so you can adjust your clothing depending on the temp and for us I was just glad it didn't rain at all :)
Here's a link to a French weather website where you can check out the weather for the next few days which might be handy for you nearer the time of your trip :-

Hi, as Suzy says it really was very very cold. We were so layered up we could hardly move. Even when we were leaving the hotel around 9am it was biting cold. I had checked acuweather before we went and they said it was unseasonably cold. The feels like temp was a good 4 or 5 degrees colder than the actual due to the wind chill. Even during the day in the beautiful sunshine we had the first 2 days it was too cold for us to take off too much, maybe a hat or a pair of gloves.
What we did do was take extra layers for the evenings and leave them in a bag at left luggage. But we were fetching them out by 4pm.
To put it in context DSiL at one point had 7 layers on under her coat!!!

we went 20th to 26th ladt week and the only time i had a coat on was to collect the breakfast from the lodges at DCR otherwise t shirt and jumper rest of family had coats on most of time but took them off by 11 ish thought we were really lucky with the weather

Welcome home :wave2: Sorry to hear that you brought some extra gifts home with you

Looking forward to reading your trippie later :goodvibes

Welcome back, Hope you all feel better soon.

Looking forward to trip report and photos

Lisa
