Well we arrived back home today after our 15 day excursion to California ..
Ill probably add a few pics here and a little more text when im more awake but here goes for a start ...
Our first day at DL/DCA this time around was also our first full day after arriving the day before , even thou i enjoyed it .. i guess my mind was wandering elsewhere after the loss to Barcelona in the morning , plus its the first time ever i have been in the park(s) after drinking beer ..so it felt strange .. anyway we decided we would make the 1st visit there a laid back mid afternoon thru to evening trip as we were still in UK time zone as well...
Actually on that first trip we done better in rides than we done at anytime during our xmas 2003 visit(due to the large crowds/really bad weather/and us being clueless with fastpass lol) and we located and grabbed a few fastpasses just to get us into the habit of using them .(thanks to everyone for the help with that!!)
We managed to ride on our first day.. (Bearing in mind we didnt enter the park til around 3:30/4:00pm i think it was)
DCA - California Screaming , Mulholland Madness
DL - Star Tours / Autopia / Matterhorn / Roger Rabbit / PiratesOTC / Haunted Mansion
We then headed off to IHOP before returning to Hollywood
On Sat 6 June we made our second visit to the park (now i dunno whether it was a mix of us still bein tired from travelling and the result on the first visit..but we were both thinking ..bliddy hell has DL lost its magic for us ??...surely not !?)
We made our minds up that wed do the hydroguy thing get there 30 minutes before the gates and fastpass and ride as much as possible between the 2 parks til around lunch then start again after that .. if im thinking correctly here we had either rode or had fast passes for the following (i think it was just after 1pm when we went to lunch)
DL - Space Mountain , POTC , Haunted Mansion , Indiana Jones , Buzz Lightyear , Splash Mountain
DCA - Soaring , Screaming , GRR , Monsters Inc , TOT , Muppets 3D , Toy Story
after visiting the cheesecake factory a few days earlier up at the Grove , we thought why not and walk down to katella and go to the one down there ..i cant remember what jill got now , thou i got the chicken and biscuits which was HUGE!! followed by a hot fudge sundae and Jill got some kinda mississippi mudpie i think (which she couldnt finish *** it was massive lmao !!)
on returning to the park(s) we either rode or collected fast passes for Tea Cups , BTMRR and Autopia , watched the fireworks display and well by then all our thoughts about disneys magic being lost ..were gone !!
theres just something about that park when night falls it has a certain atmosphere about it ? ... love riding BTMRR in the dark so much better than daylight hours ..Got absolutely soaked on GRR and splash mountain thou we did kinda ride them back to back 
....and we rode Space Mountain and Tower of terror twice more ... (Tower of terror lmao .. i swear i could feel that chicken and potato and biscuits looking for an escape route ), it was great to ride Space Mountain again as we hadnt rode that since 1998 as it wasnt open it 2003 when we were there
We came back to the park on mon 8th june and was really surprised that the park seemed more busy on that day than the previous sat , we didnt get to ride Indiana Jones *** it was down most of the day so we rode ..Jungle Cruise (first time we have done that since 1990 lol) and Peter Pan was open plus everything else we had rode on the sat again .. we didnt do Finding Nemo the lines were just so big , so we just watched the Gulls "mine mine mine mine mine !!" instead
.. oh and we didnt do the cheesecake factory on monday we elected for IHOP
i didnt take many pics *** i prefer to use the video camera , thou the pics i have taken i just used my cellphone for them ...
meanwhile at the Cheesecake Factory...
and.. what its all about...
I think all going well if we dont return sooner it will probably be 2011
oh and some half licked cones lol
