Can't believe I'm back again....every time I come home I say I've had my best trip ever. We had a truly magical 4 days away - 2 in Paris then 2 in DLP. Here are my required H&Ls...

:thumbsup2HIGHS:thumbsup2
In gay Paris...
The weather. It was literally amazing, especially in Paris on Sunday when the sky was a stunning blue - can't wait to show you photos!
Our hotel - right next to Segur metro station and close to the Eiffel Tower, it was great value, very clean and pleasant with friendly staff. It was called Hotel Baldi and i'd highly recommend it.
Wine - typical me, eh. But in a classier way than usual, Anna is one of my more civilised friends ;) we found the best wine bar ever in the Latin Quarter, Quinze Vins on Rue Dante. Mmm :worship:
We went to Luduree Salon de The on Champs d'Elysee for afternoon tea - one of the best, most luxurious experiences I've had. Again, photos to come!
Kindness....I got a bad nosebleed in the middle of the busy Champs d'Elysee (don't worry, happens to me a lot), and in the time it took for Anna to run into a restaurant in search of napkins, 3 different Parisians stopped to make sure I was ok and offer me tissues. Just thought it was worth mentioning because Parisians get a bad rep sometimes!

OK, so the Disney highs...

CHRISTMAS - the Disneyland Parc was even more magical this year, loved the cavalcade, much better than the wee train. Tree lighting was just stunning. And the jazz band in Videopolis might just have been my favourite thing ever!
When we queued to meet Jack Skellington, the guy in front of us got down on one knee and proposed to his girlfriend! It was amazing! Sally was crying so much she had to go away and get her makeup re-done :cloud9:
Crush. We rode it TWICE IN ONE DAY. Brilliant rides both times, with less than half hour waits. The crowds were so low on both days, we got loads and loads done!
Radisson Blu - very high quality room for the low price we paid, and we loved our gorgeous meal (half price thanks to expedia) on Sunday night.
Eurostar - all very quick and easy, no delays.
Cast members were all lovely, especially the hilarious guy in the Tower of Terror shop who treated us to a full on dance routine when we bought our ride photo.
AP :) I appreciated it even more for discounts since my shareholders card has now expired. We got discount on Anna's tickets, free luggage storage, and saved a fortune on merchandise. Over my 3 trips I reckon i've earned its worth at least 5 times over!
Dreams. Could never get bored of it, and Anna was blown away. She studied design technology at uni so I knew she would love it.

Some silly wee lows...
Getting to and from the Radisson. While the hotel was lovely inside, I don't think I'll be staying offsite again. The free shuttle only runs between 9am and 8pm :scared1: so we ended up paying for 4 taxis at 13euros a pop. And we had to wait over 1.5 hours for a taxi at the Sequoia Lodge after having a drink there - nightmare! Also breakfast wasn't included and it would have been 23 euros each per day - seriously, who would pay that?! We just grabbed breakfast in the village but it was another inconvenience. I said several times that I wished we were in a Disney hotel.
Meals - I wasn't organised. I know, shock. I wasn't sure at all what Anna would like, and I tried 3 times before the trip to phone and book restaurants but was always on hold for so long that I worried about the bill and gave up. As a result we couldn't get into Cafe Mickey or Steakhouse :( and Walts was shut on both days :(. So while we had nice meals in King Ludwigs and Earl of Sandwich, it wasn't the magical experience it usually is for me. My fault, I should have persevered with booking in advance...

Only two lows, they just look long because they needed explaining :headache:

Welcome back :goodvibes glad you had a magical trip :wizard:

I too was mad at myself that I didn't have a meal plan on our last trip. This time I'll stick to my plan no matter what. It makes me feel better.

Sounds like you had a wonderful time - I just adore Laduree, but we've only ever had afternoon tea at the one in Covent Garden. It must have been amazing in Paris!

It's a shame about your meals (the reservation line can be such a pain!) but your trip still sounds magical!
