Well, I can't beleive I've been, gone and come back. It was just wonderful.

Highs -

The Weather! I packed many layers and didn't need some of them, we had no rain and the sun shone lots. I was amazed having been soaked in october and frozen in January I was expecting both!!

Christmas! The lights, the music, the atmosphere, the snow, the shop windows, the tree! Just marvellous. We decided that the Tuesday was our Christmas Day we took decorations for our hotel room and we bought each other a present and woke up on Christmas morning to 'unwrap' them!

Meeting Father Christmas! I don't care that I am 25 and had no children with me. Meeting the man himself was so exciting, I got rather emotional actually. Christmas can be a funny old time for me but this year it seems like I'm really going to enjoy everything about it and it's already started.

Restaurant des Stars - WOW! After a false start on Sunday (see lows) we went for Monday lunch and the choice and the quality and the PUDDINGS!! Really impressed with this one. The starters, and the rather attractive chef that came round with Remy.

Stars and Cars Parade show - the drivers doing their high kicks and singing pretty woman! Very funny. And Gaston missing his queue!

Lots of CM being friendly and having fun. Especially a man on TOT I didn't get his name I wish I had - he broke the surly character the bell hops have to wave enthusuastically at me as I passed!

Not a high or a low

Sequoia Lodge - this is a very biased opinion, the last hotel we stayed in was the DLH and we were over awed by it. So anything was going to be a come down (especially in price) really we belong at the Cheyenne it's all we need. I was fairly unimpressed with the pool which was cold and a mission to get to. The room was very nice and clean (needed a bit of a paint touch up) and large, the bathroom with the sink outside of it was clean and in full working order. The hotel itself is very welcoming, homely and the roaring fire was gorgeous. We won't stay there again but I would recommend it. Breakfast was nice and civilised and the consierge was really helpful. But it wasn't ideal for us.

Lows -

Things being closed! Not the rides, more were open than I had been led to believe but on Tuesday morning trying to find somewhere in the Studios to get a hot chocolate was hard, apart from the restaurant en coulisse. We went up to one of the kiosks and the CM shut it on us and said it was closed for an hour. Blockbuster cafe was shut as well. We made the mistake of not checking Restaurant de Stars opening times and we were too late to have dinner on the Sunday. Also Belle's Christmas Village seemed to have it's own rules! I'm sure I didn't read the opening times wrong.

Lack of characters - There were lots of meet and greets, lots of magic moments but the last few times theres been characters just wandering about in the main park. We met a few characters in the studios. On the wednesday we did bump into Chip and Dale but that was still in the Studios.

I didn't get to meet Stitch this time! - Sad face! :sad1:

Will do my trip report soon.

welcome back :goodvibes - sounds like another great trip. I agree about the random closures of the restaurants and snacks carts/cars around both parks, makes no sense to me. At least DLP could advertise it better.

Glad you had a nice 'christmas', shame about the closures and less random characters it seems everyone recently has had the same :confused3

Welcome home, oh and thanks for your lovely card :santa:

Your highs & lows pretty much match what I have written. DH was so disappointed that Blockbuster Cafe was closed as he loved the food in there last year. We did manage to find a stall that sold Spicy Sausage & Fries baguette but he queued for 30 minutes for it and said he wished he hadn't bothered.

Next year we'll definitely do a buffet everyday.

Welcome back.;)

What are the opening hours for Belle's Christmas Village? We are going next week so I guess it should be open by when?

It's supposed to be open until 6pm but we walked through at 4pm and nothing was open. The only day that it was open was Sunday. It may have changed now though as Casey Jr. & the storybook boat ride re-opened yesterday.

Welcome back looking forward to your trip report x
