Back from Westgate Vacation Villas. It was very satisfactory.

After reading a few negative posts about Westgate, I was apprehensive about staying there. Now, I can report that our recent stay was uneventful and pleasant.

We did not go the timeshare presentation route. The only comment I can make is that the tour center wass crowded in the mornings. I imagine that many people do go to the presentations. We used skyauction and didn't have to go.

The 2BR, 2 bath villas are very clean, the room arrangement is very conducive to larger family groups, and the washer/dryer is great to use. The pool areas that we used were all clean. There was no overcrowding and bad behavior at the pools. They were heated and the hot tubs were clean and the water temperature was very refreshing.

It is very close to the back entrance to WDW. The Animal Kingdom entrance is five to seven minutes from the resort using Sherbeth Road. Getting to the TTC and Epcot took only a few minutes more.

Check in and check out was quick and uneventful. If anyone has any questions, let me know. To repeat, I went from being apprehensive due to bad reviews from the past, to being positive after staying there last week.

thank you - I really hope that Westgate has improved - especially my villa it is FFF.....

The two quadrangles that have the triple digit villas, as in PPP-ZZZ, have well maintained landscaping and were clean outside.

I am not sure what the issues were with your unit, but everything worked in the one we were in. We did have a minor issue with a clog in the second bathroom toilet, but maintenance came within a short period to fix it.

BTW, we were not contacted by telephone as some posters had reported in order to fill out a maintenance "survey". We did receive a follow-up call after maintenance had come to fix the toilet to see if we were satisfied with the service. We were.
