Just got back from BWI. Had to leave a day early because of the hurricane.
We were scheduled to leave MCO on Saturday at 1pm for our flight back to DFW, but found out at 10:30 pm on Thursday about the airport closing for the weekend. All Delta flights were booked up, so we couldn't catch a flight out of MCO. We rented a car from AVIS and had to drive to Atlanta and get on a flight there headed for home. Although we checked out at 12 am on Friday morning, they credited us for 2 full nights. Really weird, While we were there, didn't hear much about the hurricane from WDW Staff or other vacationers there. We didn't find out about the airport closing until I called the airline. I thought there would be more "buzz" about the hurricane at WDW than there was.
