Well, unfortunately, my vacation is over...

We're back from the Polynesian and it was great. We stayed in Tokelau 3942, right over the "quiet pool", which wasn't so quiet at night with the "little kids"... even at 11:00 PM they were still swimming and screaming...I shut the balcony door and you'd never know anyone was out there at all. The ducks loved the pool in the mornings!! They had the pool all to themselves some mornings. It was a tad bit too cool to swim in the morning, but as soon as it warmed up, people were in there!!

We were so close to the TTC, we walked over there a lot of the time. We did use the monorail on Friday, Saturday and Sunday mornings after breakfast. But, I'll tell you the walk over from Tokelau to the GCH was a long one by Sunday morning. I left my pedometer at home, I wish I knew exactly how much we walked during our trip!! On the other hand, I really don't want to know..

If anyone has any questions, please feel free to ask! It's a great place to stay:p

Did your kids enjoy anything in particular at that resort? Would you request Tokelau again for a garden view room?

TIA!

Judy

We check in on Sunday!! We can't wait :bounce:

How was the weather? We have seen a forecast for our trip & the highs are predicted to be in the low 70's during the day & lows in the 50's at night. We are having trouble deciding if we should pack any shorts or not - was it warm enough for shorts during your stay?

We're from Cleveland - (where it's 19 degrees and we have over a foot of snow on the ground), so I'm sure 70 degrees will feel just great!

Thanks for any info you can give me! :)

Emily,

We're going in 8 days and are from Columbus. After checking the forecast I decided on long pants and some capris. I doubt it will be hot enough in the low 70's to be uncomfortable in pants and that way we save space in the luggage. JMHO.

Have fun!!!! :D

HSMinnie - Thanks for the input! I started packing last weekend & packed many shorts and only a couple pairs of jeans - I guess I'll need to re-pack more pants . Oh well! We'll have just as much fun in jeans!

(I definitely could use the space in the luggage, ;) we'll be buying many Christmas gifts in the World!)

and I'm sticking with equal shorts & pants!

(We leave on Saturday for 8 days!!)

Smart choice Angel....we were at WDW from Nov. 30 - Dec. 6, 2000. First half of the week we wore shorts and the kids swam in the pool everyday. Last 3 days, we were wearing our jackets/sweatshirts and long jeans from morning until night. I can tell you that the parks were selling sweatshirts like crazy. I was glad I took both for all of us. You never know!

well, of course being a woman, I overpacked. I ended up wearing just my t-shirts and shorts, never put on any of the tank tops I brought!!! oh well. I only wore long pants one night the whole time we were there, but wrapped my sweatshirt around my waist for when it got cooler, once the sun went down. It was in the 70's every day, but we weren't hot or cold, except when we got soaked going down Splash Mountain... My daughter got the brunt of the water and had to buy a new shirt!

I liked Tokelau's garden view and would ask for it again, although my daughter said she'd want a room closer to the GCH...so we can jump on the monorail quickly. We were so close to the TTC that we walked over there a lot of the time. The whole place was relatively quiet.. you could hear children yelling as you walked down the hallway, but not in our hotel room itself.

The only place I really heard children crying was at Magic Kingdom, not many overtired at Epcot or MGM.
