We are back as of Saturday and had a blast as usual. We were placed in loop 200... so my worries were for nothing. We were very impressed with all the Halloween decorations and loved "looping" for the first time, I mean we've had a golfcart there before, but not during a decorating event. That was one of my favorite things that we did.
I guess the only downside we saw was on the first few nights we were there... we arrived on a Friday afternoon on October 23rd so it seemed it was just because it was the weekend. But, we were shocked at the number of adults that were intoxicated... or if not, they should have been. Atleast that would explain their vile behavior. We were driving our golf cart through and passed a few sites where there were many adults drinking... whatever, I'm not knocking the drinking... but they were yelling very loudly... the f word, and others to each other from one site to another in a joking way. We had the same experience on the beach on Saturday night while watching fireworks.... loud, cussing, beer holding adults. Luckily... when Monday rolled around... some of them left. But, really? I mean, have fun, drink, whatever, but good Lord, behave in a respected manner. People know there will be kids around... it is DW, and seriously, no one thinks it is funny to witness an adult yelling "Eat Sh*& and die... fu&^er" across the campground with your 9 year old sitting in the golf cart with you.
Once Monday rolled around....that seemed to quiet down, the rest of the week was great. The pool wasn't crowded at all and we loved the new slide. We had some great bike rides and the parks were low crowds as well, even the Halloween party on the 29th was 5 min waits for rides. The campground was great as usual and we are already planning a trip back next December.
