Back from the Eastern with 2 little ones

Tammy, did you have a soft spoken woman as your server? I think we had her for lunch one day. Very nice, very pretty?

FLmomof2,
I had a couple questions for you regarding your travelling with young ones:

Did you take a booster for your 4 yr old? Did you need it or use it?

How did you reserve bedrails for your kids?

Thank you for the trip report/tips!

a booster for a car? No we didn't take one. The taxi we took to Little Divi Beach, and the Sunny Liston tour didn't have seatbelts that I saw.

As for the bedrails and jogging stroller we called DCL and asked them to reserve them. Then when we got on board we wanted another bedrail and our room stewardess brought one within the hour. They must have plenty on board because I heard someone at guest services onboard asking for them.

They both came in handy, although we brought the jogging stroller to Castaway Cay and it was a waste since once you get on the island they have those big wagons you can just take and use for the day.

We always take an umbrella stroller with us when traveling with my now 4 y.o. DD - just because it makes airports and the like so much easier - but now that I read this, I'm wondering if I should look into the jogging stroller for
Castaway Cay just b/c it might function better with the sand...

Did you find it particularly useful?

:)

On our next crusie I think I will bring my umbrella stroller, just because the jogging stroller doesn't fit in the room unless you fold it up outside the room(it does fold up pretty small though). Several times my daughter was asleep and I had to take her out then go back out and fold it up. Kind of a pain.

Plus on Castaway key they have wagons and I believe strollers right when you start walking toward the beach. You just grab one and go. I think that would have worked better.

The jogging stroller is all terrain and was easy to push, but it would have been easier for me to bring my own little stroller. ;)

I had no idea that there were wagons on CC! We took our own stroller which was a major pain trying to get it through the sand. Are there enough wagons or do you have to be the first one off the boat in order to get one?

There was quite a few wagons there, they were first come first serve, but there were always some when we walked by. They were the nice plastic ones too!
