Back from the BCV!!

We got back late last night from another magical WDW vacation.

It began on 10/10 with 2 nights at the BCV in a studio. (It was as a result of a waitlist coming through.)

The only request that we had made before arrival was non-smoking. At check in, I asked if we could possibly have an upper floor, Epcot view. YIPPEE!! We got third floor, across from the Land Pavilion.

The pastel colors of the room reminded me of OKW. I swear that the fabric pattern on the bedskirt at BCV is used at OKW.

We stepped out on our balcony, and there was the alligator. We only saw him on the first day, but we saw the turtles all of the time. On our night of arrival, we watched Illuminations from our room.

On Friday, we had a very nice meeting with Markrg and his lovely wife Mary. Much to our amazement, our room had been cleaned when we returned from the parks!!!

The resort is absolutely beautiful. We didn't have time to swim, but the pool looked very inviting. We did a quick tour of the model, and I was very excited to get the BCV pin from the CM who hosts the model.

On Saturday, it was onto the Disney Magic.

I think I have to figure out how to attach the computer to a treadmill.

So glad to hear that you love the BCV. We will be staying there in Jan '03 and are very excited. VWL is our home resort but we thought we would see how the BCV are. What room # did you have. When I made the ressie, the CM told me that the week before they opened BCV, the CM's were able to stay to see what the resort was like. She put in a request for the room she had because she said that you could see Illuminations from the balcony. I want to make sure that we get a great room like that. Thanks for any info you can provide!!!

Thanks for the first-hand report. BCV looks like it has a lot of the same "style" as OKW.

We just got back from a week at BCV. Totally fell in love with the room; DS fell in love with storm-a-long-bay. Only suggestion is (like with every hotel) request a room away from the pool. One night kids in the pool kept us up until late. Other than that, it was a great experience and I wish we would have done it sooner!

It was greating getting to meet you and Gary. I was green with envy on Saturday morning knowing that as we were driving to the airport you were getting ready for your 7-day cruise.

Can't wait to see you again on the member cruise in Feb.

UGH!! Can you believe, I've had the flu since late Sunday.

We had a studio, room 375. It was down a l-o-n-g hallway but we didn't mind the walk. It was so hot out, the air conditioning felt great.

My best suggestion is to simply ask for an upper floor, Epcot view. (That's what I did.) Whenever anyone runs into a problem it always seems to be when they ask for a specific room.

Get familiar with the shortcuts. We went all the way back to the main building to get to the Epcot walkway, when there was a pathway right next to us. Fortunately, we found it after the first trip.

Hey Mary! After our picture perfect day at Castway Cay on Friday, all we could think of is two days in Paradise on February.

I feel for you being sick - I've had it too. Mark told me you were sick Sunday night and missed chat. Hope it is getting better.

Ahhhh- two wonderful days at Castaway Cay. The thought of that is what is going to get me through most of winter (I hope).
