I got back yesterday from a week long stay at POP. I was worried that a value would be disappointing but it was GREAT! We had 2 connecting rooms in the 80's section. The rooms were clean and comfy and we had plenty of room even with a toddler running around. The beds were comfortable (and I am used to my queen pillow top mattress). We were facing the lake and parking lot which was very quiet. We were probably the furtherst from the main building but still only a 5 minute walk. The only thing I didn't like was the slow bus service. We had a car after the 2nd day so we just drove everywhere after that.

I have one warning for anyone using magical express. Make sure you check your luggage for your return trip well in advance. I had a flight home at 11:20am. The magical express bus was scheduled for 8:15. I arrived at the bus line at 7:45 and waited in line for about 15 minutes until someone came up and asked how many bags I was checking. He then said that he couldn't take my bags because they need AT LEAST 3 hours from my flight time to check my bags. I explained that it was still within the 3 hour window but he said there was nothing he could do. That was very disappointing and I would have argued with management but I didn't want it to ruin my vacation at the end. So, we lugged our luggage with us and checked it at the airport.

As far as weather, it was HOT HOT HOT! The crowds were moderate in my opinion. Epcot and Animal Kingdom had virtually no lines but MGM and Magic Kingdom were crowded and at least 1/2 hour wait for most rides. The water parks were great and I highly recommend Typhoon Lagoon.

Oh, there were no bugs of any kind that I saw in case anyone was wondering about the love bugs.

I was there for the first time Sept 3-8 and was pleasantly surprised. A small but clean room, cheerful staff, clean food court and we were in the 70's clear at the end but only a short walk. We had a really good bus experience; never waited more than 15 minutes and at the end of the day when the parks closed the buses were one-right-after-the-other. Housekeeping was good. Nice pool, nice pool bar.

Glad you had a nice trip! Can I ask why you got adjoining rooms?? Did you go with other people? There are 7 of us and someone told us that we should try POP sometime!!

Thank you for the update on POP. We stayed there in 2005, and the only complaint I had was their bus stops at the parks. They were always the farest away from the parks. It wasn't too much of a problem in the mornings when we were full of energy, but it sure seemed like a long walk at the end of the day. ;)

We head out in 2 days, so I'm very glad things are still on the up and up at Pop!
Thanks for the notice!

She didn't get adjoining rooms, she got connecting rooms - and there IS a difference!

Melct, if you had time before your bus, especially if you were first in line, I would have argued the point, very simply:
"My flight leave at 11:20. Three hours before that is 8:20. Right now is it 8 AM. That IS more than three hours prior to flight departure".

We needed 2 rooms because of the baby. She goes to bed by 9 and is a light sleeper. When she went to bed we just went into the other room until we were ready for bed. There were 3 adults plus the baby. One room would have been plenty big enough is we didn't have to worry about the baby sleeping.

Oh I almost forgot! I know it has been said a million times before but be sure to use your snack credits up and don't save them until the last day. We ended up with 8 snack credits. I couldn't use them the morning of our departure because the lines were too long and I had to get in the bus line because that one was way too long too!
