Back from POFQ and our wedding-loved it!

We got married at the Wilderness Lodge but stayed at POFQ and we were so glad we did. It was so romantic and quiet. Even though there were children around, they must have been really well behaved. The food court was really good...we did not have one bad meal there. We stayed in building one, on the third floor, room 1332. It was a corner room with a king bed. The bed was so comfortable. We had the most beautiful view of the river. This resort was so peaceful and I can't imagine staying anywhere else. It was perfect for our honeymoon. I almost cried when we left! If anyone has any questions I would be glad to answer them.

Welcome back and Congratulations! I plan on staying at POFQ next year. I have never stayed there so I am looking forward to it. I hear the grounds are beautiful. Did you wait long for the buses? What time in the morning were they first heading out to the parks? Do you know if any of the rooms have balconies?

Where did you get marrried at the WL? Outside?

Mbcary: We didn't have to wait long at all for buses, and the great thing about POFQ is that you are picked up and dropped off first (buses are shared with Riverside). I'm not sure what time they started running. The rooms don't have balconies exactly because the rooms are open to the outside (does that make sense?). There are no interior rooms. But when we walked outside every morning, it was like having a balcony. We watched the sun rise over the river.

I understand about the balconies and I knew that. I have stayed the CBR before and it is the same way. The view is GORGEOUS!! I have written down your building and room number so that I can request it. Glad you had a great time.

Congrats to Nee Nee and Biddy! We got married at Disneyland Hotel in California, then had our honeymoon at PO Riverside(used to be Dixie Landings). May you have many happy years ahead!

Can you tell me about boarding the busses? There wasn't any pushing and shoving to get in, was there? I've been a little worried about that. My DS has autism and would freak if people pushed him (and I'd have to go off on someone if they touched him).

There was no pushing or shoving in the bus line. Everyone just got into a line and got on. Also, there was a CM there most mornings to answer questions and help out.

We stayed at POFQ for the first time on our last trip, March 2003. We fell in love with it too!! It has such a wonderful atmosphere, and the grounds are simply beautiful. We're heading back in a few weeks, can't wait!

Congratulations, again........The photographs are beautiful! On our last trip we dined at Artist Point and after our meal we spent about a half an hour enjoying the view, right where you were married. What a beautiful spot for a wedding!
