Back from our gourmet kid-free Halloween fest!

Eurostar journey seemed to take forever, especially before the tunnel. We were in a carriage of screamers, thank goodnes for MP3 players! Had a great time though. Can't believe we're back already :confused3

Our journey did take forever! We were on the direct Disney service on Friday 3 Oct 08. Should have left St Pancras 0835, delayed due to "illegal immigrants on the train" until 1015. There was a family in our carriage with a child who started screaming as soon as they boarded approx 0825 and pretty much carried on until we reached Ashford over 2 hours later. It didn't sound like a child, more like a trapped feral animal. The parents dealt with this by mostly ignoring it, although occasionally the mother shouted at it with liberal use of the 'F' word.

When we arrived at Ashford another family boarded and found that the 'screaming' family were in their seats. Despite repeated requests by the train manager to check seat numbers to avoid problems at Ashford, the family were in the wrong carriage. There was a collective sigh of relief when they moved!

hey Cathy welcome back, which coach were you in going out? I think we were sat opposite you...

Leaving Ashford? I think it was coach 5, seats 73 & 74...
Coming back, I think coach 14, same seats.
