Well we arrived back home last night at about 10.40 following our drive from Ashford International.
We all emjoyed our five night stay at Hotel New York. Kids were most impressed by the chocolates left on the beds for us each night! The staff were very polite and accomodating and we found no problems with the hotel. DH & DS 7 went ice skating numerous times, I went one evening, but got bored after a little while!
We were all very pleased with the weather whilst we were there, the youngest even got a sun tan on Tuesday and the eldests freckles made an appearance too.
I found the queues didn't look too bad, but we were lucky to get our disabled pass which enabled us to access all rides via the exit and simply go on the ride on the next turn/free carriage. The park is very accomodating of those with disabilities and i couldn't fault that, although if Jake was not disbled, I would have found it a real nuisance as they do not seem very accomodating of pushchairs at all. We were only able to take ours into places as we had our disabled pass.
During our stay we ate at : Parkside Diner twice, Had a meal at Buffalo Bills Wild West Show,King Ludwigs Castle, Manhatten Restaurant and Annettes Diner. Most meals were fine, although we did find we were paying slightly above average, but we were prepared for this.
WE thoroughly enjoyed the studios - very entertaining.
Overall we had a lovely six days and the kids really enjoyed it. I think I would perhaps wait about three years though before returning, as we wereable to do the parks fully and ride all the rides several times so need time away to recapture the excitement for a future visit.
Many thanks to all of you that gave me tips, advice and help in planning and enjoying our stay.
Until Next Time
Au Revoir!!!!!
